The Pizza Bandit — Restaurant in Denver

For a $400 order, I would have expected so much better service than what we received (minus the amazing guy who rushed to make our order) I put in a large pizza order for our staff lunch five days prior to pickup through Toast. Once I paid, I got confirmation the restaurant received the order and it would be ready today at 11:30 am for pickup. Two days prior to pickup, I called the number that was given for the restaurant just to ensure that everything was still ready to go for pickup - it went straight to a women's voicemail, who I later found out is the owner. Nothing in her voicemail mentioned The Pizza Bandit so I was questioning if I even had the right number. No one called me back so the day of the pickup, today, I called that same number again - only to have the other woman on the line pickup with an irritated HELLO? I quickly tried to explain I was calling about a pickup order, which she replied she knew nothing about and that she was the owner and in the middle of moving so she would need to call me back. I was shocked, didn't even know what to say - I waited 30 min, still no call back so I tried her cell again. It is now 10 minutes until my pickup order is supposed to be ready and I still don't have confirmation on our order. She then told me, oh we actually did have your order, it will be ready for pickup today. I asked her to confirm the time would still be 11:30 which she replied give or take a few minutes. I get to Avanti exactly at 11:30 for our order, and only see 2 pizzas on the counter. The very kind gentleman at the counter confirmed he just got this order in, also had no previous knowledge, and that they even had to door dash ingredients to their restaurant to fulfill my order. This poor guy rushed to get 13 pizzas and 3 salads out to me - didn't end up leaving with my order till 12:05. Didn't receive one apology from the owner throughout all of our conversations. Just not the type of service you expect out of supporting your local pizzerias, especially when you have given prior notice and tried to call several...

Disappointing Every. Single. Time. I’ve tried giving this place a chance—three times this week, in fact. Each time I’ve walked in (once at 11:30, again at 12:20, and most recently at 12:45), I was met with the same response: “We’re out of slices, working on dough.”

How are you already out during peak lunch hours? This is prime time. Lunch rush. The one time you should be fully stocked and ready to serve. It’s honestly baffling that a pizza shop can’t manage to have pizza… at lunchtime.

The writing was on the wall though—no line, no crowd, while every other spot nearby is buzzing. I guess I should’ve taken the hint. Won’t be back. Get it...

Seriously good pizza with bold flavours Tried The Pizza Bandit for the first time and wow—these guys know how to do pizza right!

We had the Sweet Heat Pepperoni and the Queen Margherita—both were absolutely delicious.

Perfectly crisp base with a soft, fluffy centre and generous, flavour-packed toppings.

The Sweet Heat had just the right kick, and the Queen Margherita was fresh and beautifully balanced.

Cool vibe, fast service despite the large Saturday evening demand and great energy all around.

Definitely going on our Denver...
