The nurse, and only one on staff at Onus began by not having Katie (the one with the appointment) sign a release since the iPad wasn't working. She then asked what she was interested in, and she expressed she couldn't have magnesium in the IV and she was extremely dehydrated and needed something mostly to hydrate.
The nurse then recommended an IV for hair and nails, which one of the first ingredients was magnesium, clearly not knowing what she was talking about. After explaining again she couldn't have magnesium, Katie chose an IV for hydration herself.
The nurse then took her vitals, and read her heart rate at 36bpm and blood pressure of 190/60, and instead of recognizing that Katie would have been incapacitated if she had had those vitals and remeasured, she panicked and said it was extremely scary and she had to get to an ER immediately.
Once Katie got to the ER, her vitals were measured and her heart rate and BP were normal, so instead of a $150 IV she paid $2800 for the same IV ton of panic and stress.
After speaker to the manager, they explained they did nothing wrong, and wouldn't do anything about it and offered no sympathy or solution. I should have realized that if this was the only IV bar in town with availabilities on short notice there is probably a reason for that.
RESPONSE TO THE OWNER:
You can say what your policies are, you can act like you did things right. The fact is your nurse made a mistake that should have been double checked given the result that was clearly not correct. Had your nurse known what she was doing, she would have recognized that the blood pressure and heart rate results would have lead to unconsciousness and she should have called an ambulance immediately given those are life threatening results, just like the ER doctor said. You're dramatizing how "the patient" was acting and skewing information to serve your business purposes rather than taking accountability for an employee that clearly is not good at her job.
Has anyone wondered why an ER nurse would be working in a low end IV bar in the Highlands anyway? There is a national shortage of nurses and every real nurse I know is working extra hours in...
Read moreI feel like it is a pleasure for me to share my experience at ONUS IV hydration. This business is not only needed in Denver due to the high altitude, but is also is changing lives. I am a holistic dentist, and I am about to buy my own practice. I contracted two strains of the flu the week before moving between jobs. Chaz got me in immediately. I got the Myer's cocktail, and it wiped it completely out. Anyone with Lyme disease, heavy metal toxicity, cancer or any autoimmune diseases could highly benefit from these services. It not only boost your immune system, but it is also a detoxifier. My dad has terminal cancer and could barely walk. I referred him as a patient after my experience, and he reported to me last week it was the best he has ever felt in months. What I love the most about them is they are very compassionate and have passion for what they do! They will even come to your house and provide services for people who can not travel. They only hire the best nurses. I have used other doctors for the Myer's cocktail in the Denver area, and the medical assistant stuck me 9 times once. The nurses are pros, they have stuck me only once every time, and no bruising! I am completely satisfied. I recommend them to my patients and family members! ...
Read moreI went in because I was working really crazy hours for a long stretch of time, and I started to get sick (really congested and felt like crap). I chose the Immune system option after being explained the differences between all the different types. The guy who administered my IV had a background being a paramedic which was a big plus. It took about 45 min..ish, no pain..no discomfort.
The rest of the day i still felt like I was going to get sick, but I did feel "better" and had more energy and pushed me through what would have been a much more miserable day.
The real shocker was the next morning, I woke up the next morning not congested at all and felt much better than I did the day before. It stopped whatever I was getting sick with right in it's tracks.
Already have been back for a second time, highly...
