My fiance and I made appointments with Dr. Yang on the same day.
The receptionist was kind and got us in quickly. However the experince getting x-rays done was the worst Ive had. Their dental tech Marissa was very curt. My mouth is very small and I am also tongue tied (meaning I cant touch the roof of my mouth with my tounge). Which can make it difficult and uncomfortable to get xrays. Typically in the past, other dentists have been able to adapt by useing smaller mouth peices.
In this case that did not happen. Marrissa was persistent to get the xrays. Awkwardly placing the plastic in my mouth despite my discomfort. She kept saying "open your mouth wide, your tongue is fighting against me". After trying to get x rays of my right molars I began to gag because of the peice not fitting and hitting the back of my throat. We gave up on that one, and marissa said "your tongue is my worst enemy right now."
When I would ask for breaks for water, she would sigh as if it was an inconvenience. I considered leaving before my cleaning because I was close to tears.
During my cleaning, when water spilled out of my mouth she aggressively wiped it up with the bib. After my cleaning she said "you probably have the best hygiene of everyone I've seen today" which is supposedly a compliment, but also a dis to anyone else who had been seen that day including my fiance who she has seen right before me.
Dr. Yang was nice, and communicated the same ideas as Marissa in a way that was much nicer and less judgemental. If you are able to avoid Marrissa, Im sure that this would have been a better experience.
UPDATE: Went back to to get a filling with Dr. Yang and she personally apologized to me. The filling was a good experince! She talked me through everything that she was going to do. She even sized down my bite guard which made it way more comfortable! After the first experince I was hesitant but glad I gave it another chance! Changed from 2...
Read moreOur entire family has seen Dr. Frank for the past 5 years or so. He was fantastic. Recently Dr. Yang has been seeing patients of Dr. Franks and I have had the pleasure of being one of her early patients. She recently fitted a crown for me and I will say that it was one of the easiest procedures I have had. She is a very skilled and caring dentist who nailed the fitting of my crown exactly. Imagine how happy I was when the floss had just the right "snap" as I cleaned my new crown for the first time yesterday. Exceptional fitting into my existing bite as well. Thanks very much for my "new" tooth Dr. Yang. I know our family is still in good hands!
Edit June 15, 2022 - Dr. Yang was also able to take care of our elderly neighbor with grace and humor. She did a great job listening to what we needed and approached the project with the common sense approach that suited his situation perfectly. Now if Chuck could only figure out how to use a computer, I am sure he would be thanking...
Read moreIf Mr. Rogers had been a dentist, I believe he would have come in the form of Dr. Frank. I’ve been going to his office for four years now. He is one of those genuinely, good people that you come across now and then. As a dentist, Dr. Frank is careful and thorough and one of the few dentists I trust to touch my mouth after some traumatic dental work from the past. Iris, his assistant, is just as kind and careful. This is such a great dental practice and I always...
