Village Church — Local services in Destin

This is a lukewarm yet friendly church. The pastor preaches from the Bible for the most part. However, after coming for more than a few visits I've noticed that the words "repentance" and the "blood" of Jesus will never be spoken of in a sermon. If you can point me to one sermon on their website that says this, I'd be happy to stand corrected. The plea to receive Jesus as Lord and Savior has no real appeal unless you are soberly aware that he forgives sinners and that our sin is what separates us from God. It's the blood of Jesus that washes away our sin. The simplicity of the gospel; the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ is not spoken of in this church. I wish the pastor would take notice of this and show obedience in this area.

EDIT: The church was kind enough to respond with a Youtube link to a sermon dated 2018. It is now 2024, almost 6 years later. 6 years have passed since this pastor has given a sermon on the blood of Christ. You have proved my point that sermons about sin, blood, repentance, and the resurrection are few and far between. If you go by the Youtube link they posted, every 6 years or so. AND one...

Our homeschool support group has been meeting at Village church , once a month for over a year now. We are so thankful for the staff and the members of the church that have always been ready to open up, clean up after us and even stay late when the parents were enjoying fellowship. From the moment I walked into this church I felt at home! The members and staff are genuine people of love and integrity! The sermons are Bible based! Bible studies and classes are offered for all ages! The music worship is exciting with choir, praise team and live band. The music ministry also involves young children with Kid's Praise and a youth choir called Humneo. This truly is a family of believers in Christ and I am thrilled to be a part of it!
