I arrived in Detroit at 4:00 to attend an event at 6:00. As I was getting ready to checkin in to our hotel I discovered that I had left my suit at home. I google searched for nearby men’s stores and found Hot Sams Detroit about thee blocks away. At 4:30 I walked into Hot Sams and was greeted by Terrence Beasley. I explained my predicament to Terence, who smiled and calmly said, “I got you.” Indeed he did. Over the next 30 minutes he fitted me with a great blazer, patterned dress shirt, coordinated tie and pocket square, slacks and socks. The pants required hemming, but fortunately they had a tailor onsite. They marked the pants and took them to be hemmed and pressed. They also pressed the shirt and the blazer for a fine look. By 5:15 I was out the door with the complete outfit. Back to my hotel for a quick change, and we made it to our event right at 6:00. Terrance at Hot Sams helped me out in a pinch. I can’t thank him enough! We flew into Detroit for a wedding. After our flight was cancelled and we spent the night in the airport my luggage with my suit in it was also misplaced on another flight and would not arrive in time for the wedding. I walked into Hot Sams and explained my situation to the owner or the manager. He immediately put me at ease and said they could take care of me. He introduced me to Terrance, a sales associate. He picked out 3 suites for me to try on and took his time doing so. After deciding on a suit he then choose a shirt, tie and socks (to match my wife’s dress), and a belt. Within 2 hours the necessary alterations were done and I had everything I needed for the wedding. I highly recommend Hot Sams as their selection is wonderful and their service was excellent. I stumbled across Hot Sam’s Detroit for the first time and decided to step inside — I’m glad I did! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by Terence, who made the experience nothing short of exceptional. He took the time to really understand what I was looking for and gave a level of attention and detail you don’t often find in retail today.

What stood out the most was how focused they are on finding the right pieces that truly suit you, not just making a sale. This is a detail-oriented retail experience. I walked out not only with great new pink collard shirt, but also with the feeling that I had just discovered a Local gem in the city.
