My first thought is I would never recommend having any type of big event or party there. They have a policy that everyone in your party must be there before you can be seated , my mother-in-law decided to throw a 60th birthday party for my father-in-law there, little did we know that this would be the worst place to host a party. We had talked to the manager Pablo in advance and it seemed that us setting up or decorating for the surprise party would not be an issue fast-forward to the day of the event the acting manager, HOMAZ rules or ideas of how the event should be were entirely different. When my husband and I first arrived being the first ones there with decorations, he was unfriendly, rude, and unwelcoming. We had explained that it was a surprise party and that we had decorations, he told us everyone needed to be there, except for who was being surprised. When my sister-in-law arrived with the cake, balloons, poster board and easel we were still not able to set up. Part of the problem in the delay of people arriving was some of the roads were still closed due to the draft being there prior to Sunday. A lot of guest especially some elderly guest had a hard time navigating parking and ways to get to the restaurant. HOMAZ did not care about any of that. He was rude and unwelcoming once again to all guest arriving he refused to even let us set up any of the decorations knowing that my father-in-law the guest of honor was on his way. My father-in-law unfortunately, arrived to his guest for his “ surprise party” waiting in the lobby because some of the other guest had still not arrived. HOMAZ would still not allow any of us to go decorate the room, even though it was now past our reservation time because he was set on that specific number not being an attendance. I get that there are certain rules and we were not asking for everyone to sit and to eat, but I also thought, since we had talked to the other manager Pablo that it was agreed-upon that we could at least set up the decorations. A few minutes later a friendly waitress Asia came up to us and introduced herself and stated she would be the one taking care of our party and said she would let two of our guest go set up the room. Finally it seemed we were making progress much to my surprised HOMAZ came back to the room angrily yelling at the waitress saying who allowed them to come back here when everyone is not here who allowed them to come back without my permission the way HOMAZ talk to waitress in front of guest was very disturbing. It was almost at this point that he was on a mission to harass us and ruin our night. He was very demeaning and rude to his wait staff but not surprising the way he talks to his guest that he also treats his employees like that too. I explained to him that we were trying to set up and that not everyone was back, and that the surprise was ruined. The way I was talked to. I was ready to leave. I told my mother-in-law the disrespect the way we were being treated, made me not even want to stay there and have this birthday celebration. We had 16 people coming and we all know that this restaurant is not cheap but it seemed like to him our business was not welcome and that he did not care if we left. I have been in the customer service industry in the past and my understanding is you should always make the customer happy and the customers are always right even if they are not HOMAZ did not follow those rules. He offered no apologies throughout the night, he was just mad that things were not going his way. He did not care that his guest at his restaurant were upset. He was just angry that Asia did not follow his commands, my mother-in-law was so upset, but since everybody had finally arrived, we figured we would stay. I can honestly say after my experience at the party I have no desire to ever return. I would never recommend anyone to host any type of event or special day at Texas de Brazil because if HOMAZ is there he will do everything in his power to make sure that you have a horrible time, very sad and...
Read moreA complete failure here on everything and the management has no clue what Hospitality means. Over 15 minutes wait after my salad for any meat to come to the table. I had trouble understanding most of the staff who do NOT speak clear English. One server delivering meat ask me to remove my phone from the edge of the table without saying please... no common courtesy or etiquette. I don't eat much a small amount of salad and few pieces of meat but it was terrible. The filet mignon which were tiny pieces and BURNT. After a complaint new filet mignon was sent to the table but it was tough and gritty with fat very low quality. This was after I found the manager in the dining room because my waiter was nowhere around. The manager was not touching tables like expected in the industry. He was in the dining room and not talking to any customers. Just standing around with no name tag to identify him. The manager was in a suit and I made eye contact and voiced the concern. He came by my table and made the statement oh I see they brought new filet mignon but he never asked :how was your filet mignon" or if it was "cooked right" had he asked me I would have shown him how tough it was with grit and fat see the picture I posted. I did not notice any of the staff smiling or engaging with the customers they were only transactional and impersonal this made for a very unfriendly dining room experience. No sense of urgency. No one wears a name tag. I'm all for diversity and inclusion however out of dozens of employees at this restaurant I only saw one white male who may have also been perhaps Latino. I've eaten here a few times and a couple times for Christmas it has gone downhill. No bathrooms in the restaurant you have to go out into the main building lobby and when I went into those bathrooms there were 30 people crunched inside. Really this company doesn't understand hospitality put some bathrooms in the restaurant for God's sake. The mashed potatoes brought to the table were COLD, did not even melt the butter, the french fries brought to the table were also COLD. I could hardly get any meat when I had my green card placed on the table. Mostly over a dozen times they came with the little mini sausages, I figure those are pretty cheap for them to give away. This was a horrible experience, horrible food, and ruined my dinner. I paid about $145 for my dinner of two I and went home hungry. I'll never recommend this place to anyone. I feel as if I was ripped off and no one there...
Read moreWorst service I've ever had at this place. Made a 6:30pm reservation for Wednesday. Wrote that it was for a Birthday. I told the host, and our server that it was her Birthday . Both said "Happy Birthday" with no other acknowledgment. After we were seated and given our drinks, we were ignored over and over. Asked our server, whose name was Junior, twice for more rolls and water, "One moment, I'll be right back." And he goes off to the large table of 12 people, never to return. The same treatment from half of the Gauchos. "Excuse me, could I have..." "I'll be right back." And the meat was gone. We were offered chicken many times, but never ribs, never the filet, and the lamb chops that I requested at the beginning (and twice after) went past our table 3 times without stopping. After an hour of this, I stood up and started waving so that anyone would see me, and a young lady named Andrea came over and gave us water and side dishes, went to get our server, who's still did not show up. Andrea came to check on us again as she walked through, and we then asked her "Can we please just get our dessert? It's been over an hour." She took our dessert order, apologized again. Went to talk to our server, again. (We saw her berating him from across the restaurant.) He then came to ask us if we wanted any other meats, and we told him that our dessert order had already been taken. Our dessert did not show up after a half hour, so we got up to leave. I tried to ask the host if I could pay my bill, and he went to get the server, Junior. Who then took another 20 MINUTES to bring me a bill. Actually I don't know how long cause after that long I begged the bartender to just let me leave this horrible place. Lex took pity on me and got my bill paid for me. She also grabbed a manager who said nothing to me. I was not offered anything but apologies for all this mess and had a $192 bill after not being served all night and ruining a birthday celebration. My family has requested that I do not bring them back for any future birthdays and I'm going to agree. Thank you Andrea and Lex for proving that I'm not actually invisible, and for trying to salvage my sisters birthday. Shame on Junior and the managers for not caring about the...
