Where do I even begin? I was brought on to lead the bar program for this company and devoted four full weeks of work—unpaid, unappreciated, and ultimately disrespected. I created detailed menus, organized operational files, and designed a high-end mocktail program from scratch, tailored specifically to elevate their guest experience. I hand-selected tools, glassware, ingredients, and techniques—all to give their bar a premium identity it didn’t have before I showed up because THEY HAD NOTHING TO GO OFF OF! As it being a new restaurant and concept.
They asked me to pay out of my own pocket for groceries to craft the mocktails I was presenting to them—mocktails that they would have happily claimed credit for. I poured hours into concept development, sourcing, and presentations. On top of that, I racked up parking fees just to be there, and now a separate company is coming after me for charges related to their office lot. They never once clarified where not to park, and unsurprisingly, have done nothing to help resolve it.
After all that, I wasn’t paid a single dollar. Not for my time, my labor, my creativity, or even the money I personally spent to help build something for them. Instead, I heard that they claimed I was "trying to get more money out of them than I deserved."
Are you kidding me?
I have receipts. I have the proof. And they have nothing but a failing business model and a complete lack of integrity. If they treat collaborators like this, it’s no wonder they’re burning bridges before they’ve even built anything real. I wouldn’t be surprised if this place folds before it even gets off the ground.... Like the last one did that but sounded an awful lot like an insurance job.
Also they brought their old reviews from the last place just look at the date or when the review was written they are already starting off as...
Read moreI visited this restaurant today with high expectations, and while the atmosphere was beautiful and the staff were very pleasant, the overall experience fell short.
First, I want to emphasize that our server, Michael, was extremely kind and did his best. I truly believe the issues we experienced were not his fault but rather reflect a need for better training and organization within the restaurant itself.
There weren’t many guests when we arrived, so I expected prompt service. Unfortunately, it was quite the opposite. It took nearly 15 minutes to receive a cup of coffee after asking, and I had to request a refill later as well. Breakfast basics like buttered toast, salt, and pepper should be ready without having to ask multiple times. Unfortunately cold toast and cold butter don’t make a great combination.
We also experienced some confusion with our order. I was first told that the restaurant was out of avocado, so I ordered something else, only to be told 10 minutes later that avocado was actually available and then I was charged for the avocado toast I didn’t receive. Luckily, I caught the error when reviewing the bill.
The coffee itself was very weak, and the espresso shot I requested to strengthen it arrived just a few minutes before the check. My son never received his apple juice.
For a breakfast that cost $85 for four people, we left feeling hungry and a bit disappointed. The space itself is lovely, and everyone we interacted with was genuinely nice, but the service needs tightening up if the restaurant wants to compete with true breakfast establishments.
Simple fixes: serve coffee quickly, ensure food is hot, have condiments ready, and double-checking the bill would make a big difference. With a bit more training and attention to detail, this place could easily live up to...
Read moreThis was my first time and my son wanted to take me there for brunch. When we arrived we were greeted by the hostess who took us to our table. We were mad and disappointed that we had to wait 15mins for water and our waitress never mad her way to us. While the restaurant appeared to be busy everyone seemed to have already ordered their food but us. We had never had to wait 15mins to get water or be greeted by the waiter. I saw the hostess and ask who our waiter was and that we will wait another 10mins but if we are not being served we will leave. The hostess was surprise that our waiter has not come to our table yet and he said he will take our order, but than our waiter finally came. We placed our order, it did not take long to come out, the food was great, price is decent with huge portions. The hostess, our waiter, and the owner did come by often to ask how everything was, apologized, refilled our water to the point it felt awkward, because I did not want that kind of attention I just want to eat and go. Anyways, I came to find out that it was our waiters first day of work. She was sweet and I did feel bad. I did end up giving her $20 tip even when I thought to myself I wasn't, but I knew she did not mean to do that. Overall, the atmosphere, staffs, waiters was great. The restaurant is very nice, is beautiful with warm fire place, it is comfortable with nice music playing in the background. Perfect lighting as well. I did not feel like I was in Auburn Hills area. Overall, regardless what I encounter today, the hostess, waitress, and the owner made up for what happened, probably a bit too much. The waiter did welcome us to hopefully come back, I told her for sure we will. Thank you for turning a negative first impression vibe into a...
