Jolly Pumpkin Taphouse — Restaurant in Detroit

What a disaster.... got a burger and a diet coke, the burger was overcooked, dried out and just not good (and yes, it is airport.... but that was even for an aiport bad), the kettle cooked chips were actually quite nice! so, let the real trouble start: asked for the check, get only the credit card receipt, but not a real check. After waiting some time (because staff was busy chatting), I finally can tell the bartender that I need a itemized receipt (real check), after some discussion I get only a receipt with the burger, but missing the coke, tell her the numbers don't fit, it's a very annoying situation, and the bartender does not know how to help me. Let the Manager step in: His first "problem solution" I can charge you again for a burger and a coke, then you have the receipt which you want. I say, fine for me if I reverse the transaction (no, he couldn't do that) (only) second solution is to go to the register and finally he can print the check, but not before telling me to ask for the manager the next time if there is any problem.... why can't I just ask for better training of your employees, instead of Mr. Manager...

Amazing experience. Pizza was loaded with toppings! My only suggestion would be to have someone up at the front mandating the front when customers are standing waiting to be seated. Appears they may have been short staffed. Some left, due to not being seated for a bit and no acknowledgment from staff they would be right with them. We were patient. Great beer and pizza. I even specifically requested a booth and the waitress went out of her way to clean one for me and sat us down which was amazing ( there was a worker that did try to seat us after we asked for a booth and when we stated we were waiting for the booth, she had a roudy attitude lol, we didnt take that off our score, as the other 2 plus good food made up for it!

Our 2 waitresses even did it without an attitude which was great! Our waitress was Samantha. The person that cleaned our table had pink...

I had a 2-hour layover and I stopped in to have a glass of wine, ordered my Chardonnay paid for it and there was nowhere to sit at the bar turned around. Went to walk 3 ft over to a table and I had a man ask me where do you think you're going. I was shocked. I told him to sit at the table he said nope you cannot sit there. I looked at him and he said you can sit right there at the weight station. I had to sit right beside the garbage bin while him and three other employees sat 4 ft away from me. Laughing and joking the whole time. I turned around and asked him excuse me but how much are you getting paid to sit there and belittle me and all three of them started belittling me. I paid $20 for a glass of wine and they wouldn't even let me sit at a table because at 11:30 in the morning you're not allowed to sit at the table...
