Claire's — Local services in Downey

I gave it three stars only because I come here all the time to get my ears pierced, and I never have problems. Before I get started a cartilage piercing costs about $25 and on the way in I picked up a $5 pair of earring and at Clair's they are 2 ear solutions to clean your ear everyday so it won't get infected. One is the cheap and basic and the other is like 13 dollars and supposedly fast healing.

Recently I decided that I wanted another piercing, so as the employee started drawing the dot of where the piercing would be, she asked me to check it. I told her "No, could you make it higher". She remarked and went ahead and started piercing my ears. She didn't ask me to recheck it. It looked like she was in a hurry. After I finished, I noticed that it was not symmetrical. She asked me if it was fine. I told it was a bit off. I didn't really complain only because you can't do much after they punch the hole. So I walked to the checkout and they started to ring me up. It took awhile only because the lady who pierced my ear was new. Anyways they told me my total was about $43.00. (I don't really remember the total but it was close to $43.) I looked at the cashier surprised and told her if the piercing price has changed, she said it included the piercing, and the $5 pair of earrings. I looked at my sister and she also had a strange look to her face. While I was paying, my sister went to the piercing corner and took out the earrings prices and showed it to the cashier. She looked at the lady who pierced my ears and told her that you can't let people take it out of the case and after taking for a while she told us that she added the rapid solution. (The expensive one) And my sister was like "no" we want the basic one. She got a bit frustrated and she refunded me.

Overall I would not get my ears pierced if she's there. The lady who pierced my ears is named Brittney V. Just make sure on what they are charging you and to be aware of what they are doing. The employees did not give me the option to pick which solution I wanted. They just assumed. And if you are debating on whether to get the cheap or the expensive solution, I would honestly recommend to get the cheap one. They both work the same. It is literally...

If there is one piece of jewelry that I enjoy the most is earrings. I like coming to Claire’s because they always have sales on earrings. You can buy 3 pairs and get the other 3 pairs for free. They have earrings for sensitive ears and many cute and classy designs. The staff is friendly and ask if you need any help. The store has other cute items, but I only come here for the earrings. Sometimes the earrings section can be a little messy and some pairs are missing but you have to keep looking to find the good ones.
