This is the nastiest cold stone I have ever been to. Upon arriving, I could see the young lady with pink/ red hair behind the counter was holding her phone in the front portion of the waistband of her panties and leggings. Before our orders were taken, I watched her use her phone, put it back in her pants, and rub her nose. My mother, who was with me asked “excuse me, will you please wash your hands?” She had a sour attitude and told us that she was going to put gloves on instead.
Phones are too dirty to handle food without proper hand washing in the first place. This was a phone covered in germs from being near her genitals. Gloves that a person touches AFTER handling their genital germs AND rubbing their nose are NOT clean gloves.
Additionally, her outfit was cute. But a crop top (her entire stomach was visible as well as her navel piercing) and see through leggings (I COULD CLEARLY SEE THE THONG SHE HAD HER PHONE TUCKED INTO) are not appropriate attire for anyone in the foodservice industry. This coldstone would benefit from some ServeSafe training. They would also benefit from a present adult manager who will not allow genital sweat, and other various fluids to contaminate customers orders.
This entire situation could have been avoided if she had just washed her hands. Instead she refused and walked out of the store (leaving her coworker to deal with a long line) and into the bathroom next door. Who knows if she washed her hands before returning to scoop some poor unknowing soul’s ice cream....
Read moreDecided to treat my son to some ice cream. Waited in line while the young lady working finished with the previous patron. Another young lady came, briefly walked to the back and then came up to us to offer assistance. I noticed that she hadn’t washed her hands after coming in to the shop. I hesitated but then asked her to please wash her hands as she just came into work. She advised me that she was just returning from the restroom and had washed her hands there (this is the public mall restroom). My son who really wanted the ice cream expressed that he was fine with her serving him and she used one of the small spoons to scoop up a flavor of ice cream for him to taste. I was still uneasy. However, my son is 18, so it was ultimately his decision. As she continued to serve him, I guess she wasn’t pleased with the fact that I pointed out her lack of hand washing, as she stated something quietly beneath her breath to her co-worker who then “made a face” in response. The lack of hygienic practices, the rudeness, the inability to just accept she had made a mistake and the reluctance to take the 30 seconds to wash her hands was too much and we opted to leave. I rarely complain online and usually only post to provide praise, as I know local businesses make mistakes and we’re all human. However, this experience was just gross. I wasn’t asking to use an expired coupon or berating anyone. I just wanted the person touching my and my child’s food to wash their hands,...
Read moreFirst I wanna say how sad and disgusting this store is. Loads of trash spilling out of the trash, piles of dough at the waffle cone machine, toppings, filthy floors and ice cream all over the counters and floors, dirty enough to get shut down for sure. It took a good 20 minutes in line because the 6 out of the 7 employees there were standing around talking. The one young boy serving a woman was being rude and careless about her order. A girl then took my order but continued to talk for a few more minutes. Everyone just sort of kept walking around not doing much while the line kept getting longer. I wish I would’ve taken pictures of how dirty...
