This was the most unprofessional and disappointing experience my wife and I have ever had at a Men's Wearhouse. This visit started with the sales associate who greeted us, then helped me select what items I wanted. All was well until she went to grab the measuring tape. The store was busy and no one seemed to know who was helping who, what fitting rooms were and weren't prepared, the cashier was asked to help measure but there were also people waiting at the register, it was just very unorganized. The associate became unfocused and ended up helping 4 more people in the process, then looked across the room and saw my wife patiently waiting which led to her telling my wife "I don't know how I got all the way over here." Just a very scatterbrained situation. My wife went and had a seat, and I stood there waiting for her to come back with the measuring tape. While taking my measurements, the associate proceeded to get rough with the way she was handling my body during the measuring, to the point I had to stop her and adjust my limbs myself. Her measuring was also uneven and just sloppily done. She told me that she was sorry for all the chaos and that she "was supposed to be off work 35 minutes ago". That's not my business nor was it professional. Once I tried on the recommended sizes to get a look and feel for the tux, it looked horrible. Every time I raised a concern, I was met with an immediate answer to pacify my concern but no solution to any problem that I raised besides "oh, we don't do that". I went from excited to start the process at this location to annoyed to be here all in the span of 45 minutes. We got to the register to pay and was told the price. We asked if we could pay half or a deposit because that's what more modern companies are doing instead of outright full payment and she tried to talk us into paying the full payment, when we doubled down saying that we would prefer not to pay the full payment, she asked if it was a money issue. That was very inappropriate to ask, as our finances should be none of her concern, and it was absolutely offensive and very embarrassing of her to ask us while in the growing line of people at the cash register. It was never an issue of money but more of a we'll pay you the remaining amount once we see the final product preference, especially because the whole experience had been completely unorganized and mismanaged up until then. She told us she'd have to get her manager, we told her we'd wait. Her manager came to the register and she asked him if she could continue with the transaction by processing half. He proceeded to say "I guess, if that's all they can afford". That is completely unacceptable and that manager should definitely be reprimanded in the way he deals with customers. The lady behind me got to his register because he was processing a return and he decided to argue with her about the price of the shirt she was returning until she became tired of the back and forth and gave in. The manager told the sales associate that before she left she needed to help clean. She was about to protest and say "but I was supposed to be off 35 minutes ago". However, she stopped herself. All in all, this was a disastrous experience, and if I could give this store -10 stars, I would. The store itself looks great and is laid out well, but the staff acts like it's a swap meet and not a place to help men look good and feel confident. If anything, it has the potential to do the opposite with this ragtag bunch at the helm. I'd previously heard some disparaging things about this location, but having rented from different Men's Wearhouse locations before, I figured that I'd have my own experience because every day is different. This one experience has confirmed that after I pick up my tuxedo rental, I will never set foot in this location again. The whole staff needs a refresher in customer service, especially in a service like menswear. This is unfortunate because this is my nearest location but I will gladly take my business to elsewhere...
Read moreI would advise against using this location for tux/suit rentals as they repeatedly supplied the incorrect items, failed to order replacements, and ended up still providing incorrect items vs what was supposed to be ordered. This negatively impacted my best friends wedding of which I was a bridesman and negatively impacted my wedding experience.
My experiences from start to finish at each of the numerous time I had to go to this location was mediocre to unacceptable. The reason I gave 2 stars vs 1 is MW customer service via their website was extremely responsive, took ownership for their messups, and did what the could to make up for the situation. Details of the event as follows.
1st time in store, apprx 3-4 weeks prior to wedding for initial fitting. Associate seemed somewhat disinterested in fitting.
2nd time in store apprx 8 days before wedding vest did not fit and incorrect shoe size ordered or wrong size delivered (I needed a 13 wide they gave me a 12). The associate "guaranteed" me the replacements would be in by 2 pm Monday for pickup and I could swing by any time. Again staff seemed uninterested.
3rd time in store 2 days before wedding. I heard two stories one "I don't see an order here for replacements" and 2 "oh they are still being shipped" . Either way my replacements (guaranteed) to arrive 2 days prior did were not there. What if I had come in the day before the wedding and there wasn't time for them to ship replacements CLOSE CALL!!!. Anyway the manager "guaranteed" me replacements would be there the next day.
4th time in the store: your stuff has arrived, vest fits, "size 13 wide" shoes as documented on their slip.
I planned to chalk it up to a less then stellar experience and not review them and let it slide until....
30 minutes before photos at a farm venue for the wedding way outside of town we get ready for pictures. Wrong shoes, a 13 not 13 wide. I called the on duty manager at that time to inform him of the situation and advised him that this was more than unacceptable and I would like to talk to a manager personally when I returned the suit the following day. The manager advised he understood, apologized, and offered to do whatever he could to right the situation. (thank you!)
The only saving grace is I was able to fit the shoes on (quite painfully) for the ceremony and pictures. The rest of the night during speeches, bridal party presentation, dancing, etc I was the only one wearing black (instead of brown) shoes out of 7 or so men renting the same suit from mens warehouse.
5th time in store: I spoke with the manager on duty the day after the wedding and explained the situation. He offered to refund me for the "shoe portion" of the rental as I wore everything else. The manager seemed disinterested and did not so much as offer and apology or acknowledge any portion of responsibility on behalf of Mens Warehouse. He later advised me that the previous manager had started building a refund order but had not processed it so he could not refund me. He wrote down my number and advised that the manager from yesterday would contact me when he came in later that afternoon. As of 10:30 pm that night (past their closing time)I had not received any communication.
At that time I again contacted customer service and explained to them what happened and the managements response (and later lack of response). They again apologized and took ownership. They immediately refunded me in entirety and did what they could to rectify the situation.
My takeaway, this branch does not accurately represent mens warehouse as a whole. I would advise caution and a proactive approach when renting suits/tux’s from Mens Warehouse and would STRONGLY advise NOT using this...
Read moreWe had a 12 pm fitting appointment. Walked over to the desk only to be ignored by a caucasian women. So we stood there while she rearranged items on the desk then she finally looked at us and asked if there was something she could help us with. Odd question since we obviously were standing there waiting for a reason. I told her we had a 12:00 pm appointment for a tuxedo fitting. She looked flustered and said she could take his measurements.Mind you she never greeted us or smiled. She then walked towards the front of the store behind the counter. We were still standing in the back of the store watching this all unfold. After about 15 minutes up front she asked the associate that was on the register if he needed her to do anything he said no. She then headed back in our direction. There was a white guy just standing by the door and she asked him if he needed some help he said no. Now she's back were we are and there's another man that was trying on stuff randomly was over to a table that had tuxedo picture on it and she asked him if she could help him and he said yes. At this point I am in total shock and I looking at her in disbelief. She hunches up her shoulders and started assisting him. I was angry and insulted to be treated that way and left the store. We went to the Buckhead store where we were greeted the moment we waked in and an associate with a huge smile came right over to assist us. Hammond Dr was probably the worst service in all my years have experienced. She was awful. And yes I am a person of color (Black) One star should read minus 5 stars.. Foot Note: I called back later in the day spoke to a manager ( Bernard ) who was very apologetic...
