Over the years my family has been with tmobile. However after changing my phone for the first time in about four years, I was charged a $20 upgrade support charge on my purchase. I didn't know and they never told me about a fee for the representative in the store to put a chip in my new phone and make sure info was transferred.
The main thing that bothers me is not only did they continue to push products on me that i didn't want. But after buying the phone, they basically rushed me out the door and my new phone didn't even have any of my transferred info. Once I got home is when i was able to finally fix the issue myself.
If they are going to do this upgrade support charge fee of $20 then they need to make sure the product is actually working before customers leave their shop. I'm sure if more customers realized their was an fee then they would actually do this by themselves. In my ignorance, I didn't look at the bill until I got home, and realized it wasn't apart of the tax for my purchase but some fee.
If I had known or been told by the t-mobile rep themselves about the fee then I would have just done the process at home, especially since it didn't even work until I fixed the issue myself. I would not recommend this t-mobile...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHORRIBLE experience. Spent ~2h 30m there adding two extra lines and buying 2 phones. First, they brought out the wrong phone. Twice. And they didnāt double check everything before we paid, so we got charged twice for their mistakes. The first mess-up, they brought out the 256GB instead of the 128GB we asked for. Second, they brought out an iPhone 14 Pro, not the iPhone 14 regular we asked for. I caught the mistake the 2nd time. Had I not been paying attention, we wouldāve went home with the wrong phone & end up paying more. They voided the 1st charge, but I called my credit card company & they told me itāll take them 14 days to get that charge dropped. Great, now Iām down $600. Then, I asked if my old iPhone 13 could trade SIM cards with the iPhone 14, they said no at first & said that we would have to wait 30 days to do so so that we wouldnāt lose our promo, which was fine. But then another employee came and said that was false & that we can switch right away. So they tried to switch it, but she came back and said no Terrell was right, we needed to wait 30 days. That switch & switch back alone took us 1 hour. Wished I came to another T-Mobile branch to save time & not get...

I greeted him and when I asked if there were any options for me getting a new phone he basically just said ānoā because mine was damaged, couldnāt trade it in and was not on their new āred planā or something like that. It was my sister who pushed by asking okay well what if we want to upgrade or just want to purchase a new phone? He still seemed bothered, bored and unhelpful. I continued to ask questions because I was in desperate need for a new phone while I was out of town. I donāt even want to make this long but he finally gave me like 4 different options after he said there werenāt any. When I decided on one he said I either had to do it through the app or cash. I have NEVER heard of a T-Mobile retail store, a franchise, only taking cash. Didnāt trust them during the initial conversation but THAT made me just walk out the door. Do not waste your time at this store! Avoid at all cost⦠Thereās a TMobile across the street from the mall that is 100% better in...
