I went into this location tonight to purchase a bunch of stuff. I had full intent of buying at least 6 bras tonight plus panties.
When I walked in the door no one at any point in time said hello or acknowledged I was even in the store. I started looking for the bras I wanted as I had already looked online. (I have always worn VS so I had a pretty clear idea what works and doesn't) A good 5 minutes possible 10 in the store and no one has tried to help or said hello. I finally set my large bag on the ground so I can look in the bottom draw at this point a girl comes near by me and still says nothing to me and is folding panties but watching me. So clearly watching to make sure I am not trying to steal which fine I get it I was a manager in retail long ago but at this point we have made eye contact and still no offer to help or even a hello.
Finally, I find a women who is willing to help. There was 3 different types of bras I wanted. She helped me find the ones I needed that they had available. I go in the dressing room which is right next to the cash wrap. Still no one says anything. Try on my bras and come out to get another size to compare. At this point I have 6 bras in hand no one saying anything to me.
Go back to the dressing room try on again and now have a decision on what I would like. I come out and there is a women standing at the cash wrap folding panties on the back counter and I say "Can I give you these?" the ones I didn't want 4 bras. She rolls her eyes at me and 10 seconds later says yeah in an annoyed voice. At this point I am beyond annoyed.
I go back over to the section I needed so I can pick 3 more colors of this particular bra and than my plan was to head to the other section and get 3 more of that bra. Total 8 bras I wanted to buy based on what I found. Then it was going to be off to panties.
Well as I was bent over looking for the first 3 bras to pick low and behold the women from the cash wrap appears to put the bras I did not want back. At this point she still looks annoyed still isn't offer to help so I ask who the manager was on duty and she stated she was!
I informed her this was the worst VS experience I have ever had and went through it all with her. Told her if she is the manager she really needs to improved. She gave me a fake sorry with still no attempt to help or make anything better. At this point I told her to take all the bras and I would do to Atlantic Station. I will be reaching out above the store level.
When walking out the one helpful person did ask how the bras went and I told her briefly thanks for her help but the rest of the store sucks so I was going to Atlantic Station she was so awesome that she made sure I knew what bras I needed from them when...
Read moreHorrible experience. Stood in line for more than 10 minutes with them helping one person in front of us. So many employees walked by but no one jumped on the register to help the process. Walked over to the pink side to see if could check out there instead but that register was closed. So then had to get back in line behind someone else and wait another 10 minutes. Then get up there and they couldn’t find the body mist I was exchanging on my mom’s card. She forgot the receipt. It was a previous exchange so tried to explain that there wasn’t a charge and to look up a different phone number because it was my account instead of my moms that she first tried but she wouldn’t check. Would only give us lowest price instead of doing an equal exchange for the same size body mist in different scent (it was supposed to be regular tease and not the crème something) so had to pay more than half the price for the exchange instead of nothing. So ended up paying price and a half for the body mist. So freaking stupid and frustrating. Will not be shopping there again. Lost over 30 minutes of my life and had to pay more for an equal exchange. Read moreI enjoy VS products and this store has a really good selection, but somehow I always manage to forget what an abysmal shopping experience it is. Checkout is always an insane bottleneck — even when the store is nearly empty. I can’t fault the store for whatever it is that makes checkout take so long, but I always end up giving up on my purchase at this point.
Today, I thought I got lucky — the line was nonexistent! But when I walked up to the register, the lady working it told me another woman (still perusing frangrances) was in line ahead of me. I waited for a few minutes while she made up her mind what she wanted to buy and then finished her purchase. The cashier then waved a couple of other girls in front of me — they had also been continuing their shopping. Maybe it’s a matter of foolish principle, but I was pretty irritated that the checkout line is apparently an arbitrary suggestion.
The store is useful for trying on bras, but checkout is so frustrating that I invariably end up abandoning my would-be purchase and buying it online later. I always leave this store feeling like my time has been wasted by weird inefficiencies in operation. I’d recommend getting down to the Atlantic Station store...
