My mother recently made a purchase at this Express store at the American Dream Mall in NJ. When she went to wear one of the items a pair of trousers for a special event, she discovered that the security tag had been left on. She immediately contacted the store and spoke with the manager, Ashley, who was completely unhelpful and dismissive. Instead of offering a real solution, Ashley told my mother she could either come back to the store or find another location to have the tag removed, offering no assistance whatsoever. My mother explained that she lives in New York and returning would be extremely inconvenient and costly. When she reasonably asked if the store would cover her transportation expenses, Ashley said no. My mother then asked if anything could be done to make up for the storeâs obvious mistake. Once again, Ashley did nothing, not even taking the basic step of asking for receipt information to find out which employee failed to remove the tag. It is completely unacceptable for a manager to be this indifferent to a customerâs situation, especially when it stems from your storeâs error. When a business inconveniences a customer, the bare minimum is to take responsibility and offer a meaningful solution. Ashleyâs attitude showed a total lack of professionalism, customer care, and accountability. When I got to the register the guy at the cashier said that he had to check in with his manager because the tag wasnât on the bodysuit. I had BOTH the receipt and the tag but it wasnât attached to the product. The body suit wasnât worn outside and it was exactly how I purchased it. Manager was pretty rude saying that express return policy doesnât allow returned items without tags on them. She looked annoyed.    Read moreI purchase a suit for a wedding on Sunday, I needed to exchange sizes but was not aware they were closed on Sunday. I live in Massachusetts and was traveling to Maryland for a wedding in 5 hours. I was fortunate enough to see Tim and Dâasia working on their OFF day and they were so gracious enough to allow me to walk in and make a quick exchange.
