Giving it 3 stars only because I like the quality of clothing. I would give this particular store 1.5 stars. After having horrible experiences in Manhattan stores, decided to try something out of the city. Now, I think I'll just give up on buying Uniqlo. Simply can't deal with their customer service any more, not worth the frustration.
Now to the store. Store is too big for the amount of merchandise. You see pants, shirts, jeans and then same clothes repeat. Same colors, same cuts. There is a large area that was just empty, not shelves, no decor, not even mannequins. Men's is mixed with women's. My husband liked a shirt. Grabbed a bunch of colors. When we got home, one of the shirts was women's. Weirdest cut ever, which I wouldn't wear. So, check each item before you buy.
Employees. No one around to answer questions or navigate you. No one in the fitting rooms, so if you got the wrong size or extra clothes, you are on your own.
Checkout. We had 30-40 items, and we waited our turn at the register. The cashier saw how much we had and didn't want to deal with it so they send us to the so called self-checkout. Which is a burden. First someone had to come and put an employee code for us to use the machine, then they had issues and had to relog in few times. And they had to remove the security tags... Then, you put all the items in a box, and when you are done it asks you if you had X about of items. We had to go back and count how many we got, and start the process all over again...... Then, no one gave us bags, we had to go find some on our own, which apparently we had to pay for and in order to do that we had to do the above process again..... then we had to pack on our own. I was so annoyed, after spending an hour shopping and a $1000, dealing with this nonsence for 20 more minutes, that I just threw all items in bags. We were almost done, when a guy came and told us we can't take the hangers, so we had to take clothes out, hangers off..... Do I need to keep going!? All I'll say is that after this shopping experience I needed a drink and I'm not a big drinker.
One more thing, the self checkout counter is off. We did the process 3 times and it gave us a different number each time. So you might end up going home...
Read moreThis is my first time writing a review, but I was so taken aback I have to say something. I work in the same mall and understand that the holiday season is very stressful for retail workers. I love the brand and have shopped in the store many times before. I recently went into the store to buy a coat because they’re on sale. I wanted to know where the long coats were and decided to ask an associate. I said excuse me and the associate continued to walk away to which I said excuse me again. She then started to nod her head but would not turn around so I waited until she was facing me to ask my question. When she finally turned around and was about to explain to her what I was looking for she turned around and gave me a huge attitude. She said that “you’re asking me for help and saying excuse me but you’re not saying anything so ask it why are you just standing there” and also said “I’m busy so just ask already”. I was shocked and asked and she just looked at me and sighed and went “no” still with a huge attitude. I thanked her anyways and went to walk away but then she said she might have and started to walk. I started to follow her but then she broke out into a sprint. I had to speed walk behind her which was lowkey really funny but why is she running?? It was just a really...
Read moreI had the worst experience of my life yesterday at Uniqlo American Dream, an employee named Jovert V. I was even more shocked to learn that he is the supervisor of that store.
I have been a loyal customer of Uniqlo, purchasing many clothes for my family both online and in-store. Yesterday, I went to return baby clothes with a receipt, and when it was scanned, it didn’t work. For that reason, he started treating me like a thief. I am not familiar with Uniqlo’s scanning system, but what I know for sure is that I purchased the baby clothes at the Uniqlo in Paramus Park Mall, and yesterday, I went to return them at the American Dream Mall when I was out with my family.
His rude and unpleasant tone of voice and facial expression seriously upset me as a long-time Uniqlo customer, and I cannot understand why I, with a receipt, was treated like a thief when I was simply trying to return an item.
Because of him, I completely ruined my Sunday family time, and I now feel betrayed by a brand I have always liked. I honestly cannot understand how someone like Jovert V could be the supervisor of such a large store, and I hope you are aware that he is damaging Uniqlo’s reputation. It is surprising that there is a policy that doesn’t allow returns even...
