I go to Big Snow in the same mall very frequently. Although Big Snow is great, they only supply Burton products that cost astronomical amounts, pretty normal for a resort shop.
Twice I have had gear break while snowboarding at Big Snow. I ride strictly park so gear wears out at a much faster pace than if I were to ride only mountain or a mix of mountain/park. Both times they had exactly what I needed in stock.
First, I had boa boots fail due to the metal wire channel pulling out of the boot. They had a pair of thirtytwo boots in stock in my size ready to go and was back on the slope in less than a half hour. The boots were even 20% off saving me $40.
The second time I had old k2 bindings fail in multiple places; the heel padding adhesive was no longer secure the padding, and the buckle for the toe strap on my right foot fell apart. Once again, I took a short walk over to zumiez and was able to purchase new bindings in less than 20 minutes, for half of the cost of Burton bindings. They only had Union’s entry level binding on display, but they had a stronger and more beefed up binding in stock in the back. The bindings even came in a color that did not clash with my boards color scheme.
Overall I cannot say enough good things about this zumiez. If you are snowboarding at big snow and your stuff breaks, go to zumiez!!! Even if you just want cool clothes, go there...
