My original review is below this review but I've updated my review as of 8/23/18: I was contacted by Walkers Furniture after posting below review who made it right by offering to bring me a couch and loveseat the next day(Saturday morning) while I waited for my sectional. They were able to expedite my sectional to me and I received it today. I appreciate the gentleman who contacted me and made this happen, I will continue doing business with Walkers because of this interaction. I did take one star off because it was necessary for me to write a negative review to obtain this outcome. But it's all good! Thank you Walkers!
I don't write a lot of reviews but this has me fuming....I'm very disappointed in Walkers Furniture. I have bought furniture from them in the past including an expensive Tempur-Pedic mattress and never had any issues until now. On 7/25/18 I bought a 6 piece modular type sectional from them which was backordered and I was told it would be in by 8/17-8/18 possibly sooner. I pondered at the thought of being without a couch for a few weeks as my daughter was taking our old couch to college with her. We have 6 people living in our house but I figured we could try to get by without a couch for a few weeks. I decided to call on 8/17 to see if they would be delivering the next day as I had not been contacted by anyone. The lady told me that my sectional was backordered and wouldn't be in until the 31st! No one notified me and I told her it had already been backordered so how could it be backordered again. She told me that pieces come into the warehouse and get spoken for as they come in.(apparently it's a popular couch??) One of the pieces of my sectional wasn't available because it was (right facing) and honestly when I ordered it it didn't matter because I can configure the sectional in different ways. So apparently they are waiting for this one piece of sectional to be available before they send any part of it??? I would have been fine with the rest of the sectional and had no problem waiting for the one piece. I asked her "so people who ordered this couch after me are getting the couch before me?" and she said not necessarily. But yet these sectionals are coming in and being "spoken for." OMG I guess I don't get it. I've had to order furniture before that was on backorder from different businesses and they've always come on the date I was told and sometimes earlier. I've also received furniture in sections and was given the option to wait for the entire assembly or have part of it delivered. If I would have known this would have taken over a month to receive I would have bought the same sectional from Mor Furniture in Tukwila that was cheaper and who actually had the entire sectional in stock on 7/24. I decided not to because it would have taken two trips over the pass and back and I wanted to buy local and support a local business which I've had no issues with up to now. I really hate to write this but I am so frustrated that my family has no place to sit! This is ridiculous and honestly I expect more out of a furniture store when you're spending over 2K on a sectional. Is this too much to ask for? Sorry to say but this will be my last business transaction...
Read moreWas in there yesterday for their year end sales event to purchase a mattress. The prices were ok, we did find we wanted. We were even approached by a couple of friendly employees making sure we didn't need any help, which we didn't at the time because we were still looking. After we had decided though, we approached the customer service desk where there were many employees and somehow we got stuck with one who was so unfriendly she could barely even make eye contact with us the entire time she was taking our money. In fact when we asked for help and said we wanted to purchase a mattress she actually gave a little sigh and said "ugh okay". I laughed in disbelief thinking this must be a joke but as we continued to deal with her it was apparent that this definitely was not. At no point was her tone or mood anything but unpleasant. I understand we are a younger looking couple and maybe we weren't buying the most expensive model, which actually seems irrelevant since this mood was set from the very beginning before she even knew the model we were interested in. But we have a big house I've been eager to furnish, with our bed being just the first piece. Not only will I absolutely not be back but I am seriously considering cancelling our order and willing to even pay more somewhere else if it means being treated more appropriately. On a side note, their radio ad stated they were offering free mattress delivery but negated to mention that it was only if your order was over a certain amount. We did end up getting it for free like the lady was doing us a huge favor even after I told her what the...
Read moreWe have purchased at Walkerâs in the past, so when we started thinking about a living room sectional we knew would have many styles to choose from. We feel so blessed to have Ebelia help us with our purchase. She answered our questions and gave us space to look around without feeling pressure. We had looked other places and hadnât found the right fit for us. The âCheersâ recliner style was very appealing but we werenât sure of the measurements for fitting in our home. The price was good but still a bit over our budget. She told us to think about it and if it looked like it would fit our space to come back 4 days later on Friday. She gave us an invitation card to attend a Private One Night Sale on that day, 11/18. We went home, checked measurements and I drove back Thursday from Chelan to double check the size. I loved the Set as soon as I went back and she helped me with my measurements. Mike and I went back the next day and couldnât believe the discount we were given, it fit into our budget, even though we splurged for an extra armless chair!! We loved working with Ebelia, her sense of humor and kindness made our experience exceptional. We are thrilled with our purchase and will recommend Walkerâs and Enelia to everyone. âSitting Happyâ in Chelan...
