Very great experience the first time I entered. I was actually referred here to a brother of mine who gets his contacts here occasionally. However, when I went to pick up my glasses on 9/27/23 around 4PM, the woman at the front & adjustment area was absolutely rude to me, especially after I asked her if she could help me adjust my glasses.
I asked her if everything was fine with the prior adjustments at first, slightly confused, but her lackluster response was anything but helpful and I wasn't sure if that was supposed to happen. After, initially walking out, I realized that both glasses on my nose was still very loose.
I was an ex-military Marine, so whenever I see this issue and do runs, I noticed that the looseness of the glasses could cause them to bounce off my face and bruise my upper nostril area or fall off. After patiently waiting for a couple that she serviced VERY politely, her attitude with me was anything but that, and quite different and rude. I do not know what her problem was, but I felt discriminated and very unsatisfied with her assistance. In fact, there was another man in that store waiting for her assistance as well, and she was giving me impatient looks like she was inconvenienced when I told her if she could tighten the TWO pair of my glasses multiple times.
After a while, her response was "Your face is small, so I don't think it needs to be adjusted any further than you think." I proceeded to tell her that the part near my nose was still a little loose, but it was getting better and just needed further adjustments. However, after that comment, I light-heartedly joked to the other man besides me that she doesn't believe me even though I told her I'm very active, especially when running. Afterwards, she gave me the worst attitude I've seen and told me that she'll no longer assist me with the adjustment and that she's an "optometrist and I should wait for the other one and come back later if I wanted an adjustment".
Excuse me.., I was appalled by such comment, but I politely got up and asked her if I could get my glasses prescription and I left shortly after. Honestly, I would have given this a 5 stars if it wasn't for this woman. It's a great place with great people, but this one woman.. she's very unprofessional. Ironically, I was looking through comments and another woman named Vanessa had the same experience. Please take note of this. Thank you, and God bless.
PS: I believe the woman was a slightly taller than average...
Read moreA week or two before I went to this store, I signed up for an eye appointment at 9:10am, and my partner signed up for 9:20am. We got there right at 9:00am, and I was told that I had canceled my 9:10am appointment. I personally did not cancel my appointment and I showed the confirmation texts that I had received, none of which stated that I had canceled the appointment. Someone else had already signed up for my 9:10am appointment, and the staff said there was nothing they could to do to help me. My partner gave me his 9:20am appointment, so he lost his appointment. (I want to also note that the person who took the 9:10am appointment did not come in until about 9:25am, so it was certainly possible for them to take me at 9:10am - I was told there was a 10-minute grace period before an appointment was canceled but that did not seem to apply to this man and his son, who were both helped.) By the time I was given the paperwork to complete, someone with a 9:30am appointment was seen before me, even though I again want to highlight that I was the first person in the store. When I was finally seen around 9:40am, the medical staff was efficient and kind. When the exam was over, I went to pick out some frames for my updated prescription. I was told someone would call for me when available, even though there were 3 people on the floor and only 1 person helping patients at that time. I waited for about 20 minutes - 3 people that had later appointments were being helped while I still waited. I asked a staff member if anyone could help me. I was told to keep waiting until my name was called. Then a woman who appeared to be sitting on her phone realized that she had my paperwork and called my name. At that point, I had been in the business for nearly an hour and half while my partner sat in the car, and I had to leave. I didn't have time to get new glasses, and at that point was so unimpressed with this location's service that I paid full price for the exam so I could leave and never come back. I ordered glasses online for about the cost of the deal that I went to this store for, and got frames that I liked better anyway. Overall, the staff were polite but completely inefficient, so if you are the type of person who likes to get in and get out, this is not the...
Read moreTerrible customer service skills from young lady at reception. Initially, I had an appointment I unfortunately was late on my own account & assumed responsibility. I spoke to the young woman from reception on the phone and she put me on hold only to be transferred to a manager, by the time he (which I’m not sure he was the manager) picked up the phone to speak to me I was already at the store. I walked in & she was on the phone so the young man came over. We spoke and I apologized for being late The young woman at the front told him “she missed her appointment & it’s already to late.”(while she is still on the phone with someone else) He tried to schedule an appointment that same day. Nothing was available so he was trying to schedule me for another day. The young lady at the front was on the phone and when she got done she immediately jumped in the conversation and said “what’s the problem” there was no problem because he was already taking care of it but she wanted to jump in. I don’t see a reason why she would jump in if he was already taking care of the situation? I don’t need two people making an appointment especially since she transferred me to speak to him to begin with. Anyways, I asked her who was I going to speak to, either him or her ? And she said either one so I continued my conversation with HIM. It bothers me because her demeanor was dry and rude. From the moment I walked in and the young man approached me, he was very kind and understanding but she automatically ( WHILE ON THE PHONE WITH SOMEONE ELSE) told him “she missed her appointment it’s already to late.” When what she should’ve done was stay on the phone and let the young man handle it. And even when she got off the phone she still wanted to jump in the convo. Why? If you’re rude and nasty let someone else like the young man take care of it. So he makes my appointment and literally two minutes later she asks if I’m going to keep the new appointment.. I’m like yes I JUST made that new appointment. She was just very unprofessional, not a good attitude. Don’t even want to go back. The young man was very nice though he did...
