Kohl's — Local services in Edwardsville

Was in there on Friday bought a pair of shoes, necklace and bra. We used self check out because there was a line to the one cashier. As we are at self check out our aisle and light was going off for security. Two people come out to the floor and ignored us. One of them was a woman working in the shoe department who was rude and didn’t want to help us what so ever. When my husband asked the man why the security was going off and maybe if he could come check a security tag and he said he didn’t want to do and didn’t know why the lights and everything was beeping. Instead of coming over to help or asking for help on the raids. Instead open a register and told the next guest to come along. 3 team members and none of them wanted or tried to help. So now here I am with a pair of shoes with the security tag on them and of course no one answers the phone. I will be back with my shoes and my receipt for a full refund. We have never had an issue with this location in the past. Most likely these team members are probably not properly trained or maybe they just don’t care. We will most likely just start going to Fairview if this is how the staff is going to treat customers. I have pictures but this review isn’t giving me the option...

The Edwardsville IL Kohl's store was exemplary tonight. I pleasant young man helped me find the Big and Tall area and asked if I would prefer he helped me in Spanish, which I did. He was so polite, pleasant, and helpful. And, his Spanish was excellent, although he was not a native speaker. I really appreciated the extra thoughtfulness. Plus, the cashier was extremely helpful. My cellphone battery was running low so she made sure she found the best coupon on my Kohl's app as soon as possible. I had a 20% coupon I wanted to use, but she asked if she could try finding a better coupon for me to use in my app. And, she did, and it was for 30% off! And, when I was only a few dollars short of $50 on my bill to qualify for $10 in Kohl's cash back, she suggested that I could by her favorite Godiva candy bar to get me to $50. Her name is Mae, and she even told me that I had $10 in Kohl's rewards coming next month so far and that I could use my 30% coupon 9 more times! I’m not one to give reviews, but this location has repeatedly let me down time and time again. I honestly like shopping at this location because it’s bigger than Collinsville’s location and smaller than Fairview Heights’s. Yesterday has made it my worst experience shopping. I came in with my sister and brother and no one greeted us. Instead of being greeted by great customer service, we were followed by a hospitality host everywhere we went. It was very hard and uncomfortable shopping here. I left feeling upset, because I’ve never went into a store and he bad intentions. I’m extremely disappointed at this location as to who they decide to watch while shopping when we shopped and saw customers who needed more attention than us.
