ALDI — Local services in Elkhart

Alexis is rude. The first time we had a bad experience, we were shopping and looking at items and ask we were grabbing something she asked if she could put something up really fast. I moved and she parked her cart directly where we were shopping and starting stocking. Then today my card wasn't working. My daily card, she told me they don't accept it. When it's the only card I ever use there. Said ok ill be back gotta run to my car. Had to haul my kids out. She follows me outside and stands outside at the door watching me. That was odd. I didn't take my items or my cart. So what if I left. Come inside and she's just walking constantly looking back at us. Her attitude was horrible and definitely had a bossy personality. Love aldis. Prices are great. Staff is used friendly. Produce is fantastic. However, I remember going as a kid and being able to grab the excess boxes that use to hold merchandise off of the counter where customers bag after check out. Kinda miss that. Oh, the other thing... My husband and I went in one evening last week and the employees were literally RUNNING around, constantly yelling into the walkies, and held a stance that my husband and I actually confused for police officer for a second. If you know what you are getting, Aldi is a fantastic grocery chain. Some of their items are hit or miss as far as quality, but for the most part we like their off brands. This is why I say know what you are getting. We have tried some of their products and didnt like them, so we dont buy those anymore. Other Aldi brands are just reboxed name brand at a discount price, and this works well for our family. Their stores are small but the aisles are plenty wide to be 2 or 3 carts wide. Checkout is fast, even when there are 3 or 4 people in line. Aldi has really found a way to make the shopping experience fast...
