We had a horrible experience this past week. The consultant that worked in the bridal was rude. I've previously worked in bridal, and currently work in retail, the way this woman behaved was completely unacceptable. One of the comments she made was "If you want it that color than why don't you just get it from david's bridal!" This wasn't something she said in a manner of just casually asking but with an extremely rude tone. We didn't get the flower girl dress at davids bridal because we decided to look other places because we didn't like the ones there. Yes we were hopeful to at least get a color close to the bridesmaid dresses but weren't opposed to having it all white either. The only reason we went to Stephenson's was because I had an amazing experience there when I was planning my wedding in 2001 obviously it was a completely different consultant back then. You'll be happy to know we did find a flower girl dress, down the road from Stephenson's, where we had a consultant that was extremely helpful and pleasant to be around. If I could give 0 stars for the Bridal portion of Stephenson's I would. The consultant walked away when we first got there and was rude when she was "helping" us. I would not recommend their bridal...
Read moreThis is the best place in the area to buy a prom dress. I've been to nearly every place in the area for formal dresses and this is by far the best. Their selection is great and although some dresses can be pricyp because of the brand, they have many beautiful, well made, dresses for very reasonable prices. Places like JCPenney's are popular for prom dresses because of the cheap prices, but if you look at most of the dresses, they're made of the same material as children's Halloween costume... Dresses at Stephenson's are all high quality. If you're on a budget, there's also a clearance rack with a wide selection of beautiful dresses, and most for under $100. The staff is AMAZING. I hated going to places like David's bridal for prom dresses because you had to be followed by a consultant, which made me feel awkward and pressured to buy something. At Stephenson's, the employees and just welcoming, if you need help, you will get it, and if you would like to be left alone, they will not bother you. All the times I've been to Stephenson's, I feel very welcomed. This place is by far the best shop for formal Wear! I have been coming here since I went to snowball sophomore year, and bought my junior and senior prom...
Read moreUnfortunately this was a horrible experience. 😞 I came in with my wedding party and found the wedding dress for my wedding, the stylist measured me and when the dress came in...it was 3 sizes too big! The top just falls off. I spoke with the manager...his response. "Well it takes some time for the dresses to come in so you must of lost weight." I was shocked! I am the same size that I was when the stylist measured me. I told him that and he said well I wasn't here that day to see your size and our stylist has been a stylist for a long time. So, I trust she measured you right. There is nothing we can do. My maid of honor was there with me, we asked for the dress to be returned and he said all sales are final. We asked if he would fix the dress and alter it and he said no. I then took the dress to davids bridal the next day. She measured me and said this dress is 3 sizes big and due to how much they would have to take in the dress and move lace, it would be 450 dollars to alter it! Do not come to Stephen's, the manager doesn't care at all and didn't try to make anything...
