I'm just gonna say that you better have a big appetite before dining at Texas de Brazil because all the tender and delicious meats fill you up and "hit the spot" pretty quick!
First, all the staff were very nice and respectful, and they seemed to always try and make sure that we were all satisfied. Our waiter also checked up on how we were doing and refilled our waters pretty frequently. They also gave really generous cuts of meat and would ask if we would want a bit more, and they would cut off specfic pieces if you asked. Myself personally, I don't like my steak too rare, and i like more of that flavor from the char, unlike my dad who likes the rare and bloody part in the middle.
The food though was just so good. They had several cuts of steak ranging from filet mignon, to flank and sirloin. But I was surprised and was happy that each cut of steak had a different distinct flavor, and I'm glad that the steaks didn't all have the same tastes. If i had to choose my favorite meat of the night, I would probably say the filet mignon because it was just so juicy and super TENDER, or the garlic sirloin because you could really taste the garlic and it was just seasoned very well!
However, if you do come here I also suggest only getting one meat at a time so that you can savor and enjoy each meat in it's prime while it's hot, and so you aren't distracted by other meats that may affect the taste of the other meats. However, I made a rookie mistake and got excited and got every single meat on my plate at one time and so I wasn't sure what to start with first.
Even the dessert at the end was amazing. At this time though, I was super full and I felt like i couldn't walk, but the cheescake, and chocolate mousse looked too irresistible to not try.
The cheescake was super creamy, and not too sweet, and had a nice bite from the crust. Overall very lucious and smooth. Then, the chocolate mousse was really rich in chocolate, but the icing was very creamy and smooth as well!
Oh almost forgot my passion fruit slush. It was very lucious, with a slight tart, tang and hit of sweetness. I really enjoyed it, and it was very refreshing!
The one thing though is that they never brought us our greens from the salad bar that we had ordered. I'm not sure if they weren't doing the salad bar, or they just forgot, because they only brought the toppings for the salad. Unfortunately this is why I couldn't give this place 5 STARS!
I was not disappointed though, this place had a nice and somewhat fancy vibe, and the food was amazing and delicious. Highly recommended for special occasions, or if your...
Read moreI'm just going to say, this place should be ashamed to charge people for the tasteless, tough, junk they serve! It's horrible! They gain a star for the delicious, buttery Lobster Bisque. If not for the Lobster Bisque, their food would get 1 star for this expensive disaster. The meats I tasted... Sausage Filet Mignon Flank steak Tri-tip Garlic/Parmesan chicken Lamb chop Sirloin steak Garlic/Butter Sirloin steak How is FILET MIGNON tough to chew?! How?! I didn't think it was possible! So, I'll begin at the beginning. Our reservation for two was for 7 pm. We arrived 15 minutes early and expected to wait. They seated us at 7 pm. BRAVO for that! Unfortunately, we were seated at the wall separating the lobby from the dining area AND we had the end table so I was seated on the aisle of HEAVY TRAFFIC. I was knocked and bumped so much I thought I was in a prize fight. Approximately 30 minutes into the meal, I felt my hair get pulled. LITERALLY get pulled! I turned to see a little girl standing behind me smiling. I said, hello. I was attempting not to blast off into OUTER space. Not to worry, her brother grabbed her and pulled her away. Our Waiter was so busy, I think he forgot about us. No water refills for us until the end of this disaster of a meal. The meats were devoid of FLAVOR! ALL OF THEM! Even the ones that were supposed to have special flavoring were ABSOLUTELY WITHOUT FLAVOR! All of the meats tasted as though they were taken out of the wrapping, pierced onto the skewers, thrown on the grill and handed over to sour faced waiters that were so rude and nasty that I couldn't believe they were working for a tip. Our Waiter was very nice and polite just not very attentive. I don't expect anyone to come and check on me every minute but to not refill our water and to leave dishes on the already tiny table was a bit lacking in service on his part. I had to tell him that when a plate is placed at the edge of the table with silverware positioned across it, that is his signal to remove the plate. Bless his heart. But as I said, he was busy so I can AND can't be angry with him for poor service. His personality made up for his lack of knowledge. Let's not forget the SERIOUSLY SOUR FACED Manager walking and skulking around the floor. I was not going to complain about ANYTHING to him. Everything about his demeanor felt odd and out of sorts. I can't explain it other than to say he just felt wrong. Bad vibes. Very bad energy. To end this, I'll NEVER go back there again. If I had paid for that meal, I...
