went in a few nights ago before Valentine's day for the very first time with my partner after putting off getting measured for YEARS. I had outgrown my bras and heard great things about this store in the community for a long time. I was so pleasantly surprised when i walked in!!! So much to look at and super friendly vibes. But i had an objective.

I approached a younger cashier to ask about measuring while she was checking out another customer and she so happily said she'd be with me in a minute and would be happy to measure me. extremely pleasant interaction. I walked towards dressing rooms where i assumed i'd be getting measured and approached an older woman who was working and asked if i needed help. I just stated I'd be needing to get measured, wondering if she'd help me since the other employee was with another customer. She asked me if i was going to buy anything and asked if i was looking for anything specifically. i said no. I mean, at least i was not expecting to buy anything in the moment. I entered the store with an open mind and the ambience in the store contributed immensely to my excitement to look at new bras and get measured. So I had an open mind. And wallet. Money is tight at the moment but I did need new bras and was hoping to shop in the store for some after getting measured. Like I said. I came in with an objective and after countless good recommendations from the community. The store had so much to look at and it was a little busy so I wanted to take care of measurements first before actually shopping.

The older woman basically told me that they were not allowed to measure me unless I was going to buy anything and continued to matter-of-factly educate me on sizing and how different brands vary in sizes. I found myself feeling shut down and embarrassed. While the older woman was speaking to me, the younger cashier approached me with a measuring tape, to which the older woman told her was no longer necessary since I was not buying anything today.

I left felt bummed out knowing that I probably could have gotten measured if I had not spoken to the older woman.

My partner was also kind of upset; as he saw my mood shift and my unwillingness to keep shopping for bras or other intimate items afterwards. Valentine's was the next day and it would have been nice for him to also be present during my getting measured in case he wanted to buy lingerie for the next day.

I was under the assumption that good relations would be willing to measure me without a problem / for free because other women in the community have been measured without a problem and recc'd me over to the store for this specific purpose.

I feel like this was a fumble on the store's end. I was not planning to purchase anything in the moment but that very well could have changed if I would have just got my measurements in the moment. I wish I would have got the cashier's name. She was so nice and probably will eventually be returning for her service. I'll return with an...

I used to adore this store and always felt welcome which for me is not always the case in clothing/lingerie shops, as my weight has fluctuated for years. Unfortunately my friend had a bad experience there a couple months ago, she felt body shamed. I decided to avoid it from now on but I really need a new bra and I decided to give them one last chance. Unfortunately I got body shamed whether the person helping me meant to or not, I became very uncomfortable after the comment "we dont really carry that size as its an unusual size". The bras sizing also seemed off and the quality of some of their products has gone significantly downhill, especially the underwear and bras, i have underwear i bought a couple months back from there and for some reason they literally tore in half at the crotch (after 2 wears) because they were so cheaply glued together. And theyre asking nearly 80 bucks for bras that you can regularly find at Ross for about 60 bucks cheaper. That is not to say that all their products are low end, I've bought plenty of nice things but recently I've noticed a difference in quality of a lot of the undergarments and I've heard others say the same. I will no longer be supporting this business and im not asking anyone to stop going but I do hope some of the employees see this (and especially the owner who definitely seems to be part of the problem as she was the one that told my friend her booty was too small for the underwear she picked out and she was right there when the person helping me said that today). At this day in age there's no room for the body hate, especially from a shop thats always prized itself on being inclusive...

I went into good relation yesterday to pick up some short and some candy, at first the older looking lady maybe in a mid 50 ( the owner) was super sweet until it came to the booty shorts I had picked out, they only had a large and an xl large which was fine, I prefer short to be little bigger on me since I am going to the gym and rather not buy a whole new pair, and if there way bigger than I expected I can hem them to my size a bit better. I was just happy they still had them, but when I got up to the counter the owner was there helping me and out of nowhere says “ are you buying these as a gift for someone who has a bigger booty than you” and when I nervously laughed and said “ no I guess I got a goal at the gym” a worker from behind her laugh and it was very noticeable it was about my comment I had said, the lady that was checking me out laughed as well once I had realized she was, she stopped laughing and continued to check me out. I have never felt so embarrassed and ashamed in my life that the owner and her an employee would laughed at a customers and then body shame without even seeing how my body looks under a xxl hoodie...
