Next Level Games — Local services in Eureka

Sad to write this review as I've been a loyal customer for a couple years. As of yesterday, I will no longer be frequenting Next Level Games, as Matt, an employee, has held a grudge toward me due to a miscommunication in power level in a Magic the Gathering game. He's since refused service to me and ignores me whenever I'm in the shop.

Yesterday, he refused to let me purchase a card as it was in a list I sent in last saturday. I ended up buying the other cards on the list besides one a few days ago. I understand that Next Level is busy with card lists, but he admitted yesterday that he did hold a grudge against me and doesn't like me. Jesse (the owner) often times will understand that you don't need the other cards and just sell me the card I need anyway, even if he has to put the others back and it's inconvenient... It's his job.

I don't care if you don't like me, but It's unwise to treat loyal customers that buy product from you this way. I've spent hundreds if not thousands of dollars at Next Level, played many games of commander with friends and family, and I no longer feel welcome. I urge anyone looking to go here, wait until Jesse, The store owner is there after 6pm. It's been fun hanging out at Next Level, but I'm not clearly not a valued customer. I...

This is the place to go if you are looking for an lgs in the Humboldt area. Great selection of cards, all incredibly well organized in binders by set and color. Jesse and Matt are both super helpful and knowledgeable, and are super welcoming to returning and new customers alike.

The store will buy basically and excess cards you may have, and will offer a fair deal. Their singles and sealed products are well priced, they have a fridge with cheap water/soda, and they make great use of a small space to make sure everyone has space to play! They even sometimes sell custom pre built magic decks that are always super unique and fun. Just an all around...

Next Level Games is your friendly neighborhood game store. They specialize in Magic and have an enormous selection of cards from every release set. After many years away from the game they made me feel incredibly welcome and were patient and happy to introduce me to the Commander. The store hosts game nights on Monday, Thursday and Saturday.
