Let me say… not only is the food good, it’s so good I ended up at Golden Krust - Senioa Rd.TWO DAYS in a row. Yes, you read that correctly. I had to run the exact same order back a second time it was so good.
Now… for the story…
I had been wanting a roti and didn’t feel like driving to Stone Mountain. Coming from Boston, I tend to have a craving periodically. As such, I hopped on Yelp and searched for “Roti” and found out that Golden Krust - Senioa Rd. had them. Once I saw that it was a go for me. I decided to place my order via DoorDash and head on over. Scrolling down the menu I decided to take it back to all the things I love and get a Spicy Beef Patty, Coco Bread, Brown Stew Chicken Roti, and a Small Rice & Peas. All I could think of was the Caribbean flavors combining in my mouth the entire ride to Golden Krust - Senioa Rd lol.
Once on site, Golden Krust - Senioa Rd. was very clean and the staff was very welcoming. I walked in, headed to the counter, provided them my name, confirmed my order, and stood to the side to wait for my order to be ready.
Once my order was ready I was on my way.
Let’s talk about food…
Beef Patty: Bombbbbbbbbb. Spicy but not too spicy. Flavorful. Fresh. Flaky. Meaty. And golden brown.
Coco Bread: Soft. Buttery. Flavorful. Thick. Not hard. Fresh.
Brown Stew Chicken: Juicy. Meaty. Flavorful. Authentic. Nice portion. Not too boney. Tender.
Roti: Flaky. Flavorful. Fresh. Chewy but not too chewy.
Rice and Peas: Perfectly tender. Bursting with authentic flavor. Perfect rice to bean ratio.
This food was amazing. Everything paired well together and was very filling. All of the food was made with care and truly carried authentic Caribbean flavor. Every single thing I ordered stood on its own and was amazing. So much, I went back the next day for round two. Yes. I will admit. My name is D. K. and I’m addicted to the food. LoL!!!

Read moreToday was my first time visiting Golden Krust. This location is new to the area and I had to go out so I decided to give it a try and patronize a local business as I know business is slow. Wrong decision. If I could give no stars I would! The food was cold, (I live less than 5 minutes away) The chicken and rice was sahara dessert dry and lastly I attached 2 pictures of the same 1 sauce that was given to me because I wanted to give an accurate depiction of the amount of sauce from both angles of the container. I ordered the lunch special and when I saw the sauce I asked for an additional one the young lady told me $.50, I said for the same size sauce are you kidding me? She sadly said yes. I asked if the lady behind her was the manager and she explained it was because I ordered the lunch special which she makes no money off of and the sauce is very expensive. I said there is barely any sauce in there like 3 drops. She tells me she frugal and her background is investments, I added mine is Accounting/Finance so I understand counting dollars, however, drops of sauce are ridiculous. If you are not making money on the lunch special don't offer it or increase the price. Her entire attitude said nothing about the customer she was just concerned about her bottom line apparently. She should probably take the investment background and invest in some customer service skills. She should have gladly given as much extra sauce as possible to cover the dryness of the days old chicken she was serving. I told her I would make a review so whatever nice response that may be given is for show online because she had an opportunity to address me face to face. She said if you buy the sauce you get more. What she showed me was about 6 drops instead of 3, still ridiculous for $.50. I typically drive to Jonesboro to a Jamaican restaurant and I will continue to do so for satisfaction and great food! I will Never patronize this...
Read moreSo this is my second time coming to this restaurant since moving to this area. On the first attempt I order via doordash and the delivery was delayed because the restaurant was behind. So by the time I received my order it was cold. This time I came to this location versus the ones closer to my office for convenience. At the time I placed my order, the Mac and Cheese had a 10 mintue wait time (which was not an issue for me) so I decided to wait as well as a male customer. A group of young women came in, who I assume were friends of the manager or supervisor. By then the Mac and Cheese were ready. The Kevin the employee who knew myself and the gentleman were waiting to check only because of the Mac and Cheese tried his best to get us checked out bevaise of the wait. The manager/supervisor was to busy trying to serve her friends with no regards to the customers who were there before hand. When the male employee tried to informed that we'd been waiting that she was cashing out customers ahead of us, including one of the manager's friends. she blew him off. The next set of friends came in front of myself and the gentleman to check out and at the point I had to assert myself and asked to be checked out after waiting. In regards to the food the rice and peas were slightly salt and the Mac and cheese had way too Cheese, the Cabbage wasn't seasoned well however, the plantains were good. 2 stars for food and 1 star for customer service. I just stick with Fireside and the other restaurants...
