The food was great but you might want to think twice before ordering cup of hot coffee. Our family was passing through Fargo on our way back home to Minot, and we stopped at Chick-fil-A. Being from the South originally, we’re very familiar with and are big fans of Chick-fil-A. We went through the drive through. There were three of us and as busy as the restaurant was, we received our food quickly, with one very big exception. Our order included one large hot coffee. We were told that we would have to pull around to the front of the restaurant, and park in the spots marked for drive-through, because they needed to brew the coffee and would bring it out to us. No mention was made of how long this would take, but given the fact that this was just one cup of coffee, we figured it would be just a matter of a few minutes. So we did as instructed, and pulled around to the front of the restaurant and pulled into one of the drive-through spaces and waited. There were a number of other people who were also waiting for part or all of their orders as well. Five minutes turned into ten minutes, and then fifteen minutes. By this time, it had been 20 minutes since we had originally placed our order, and we had all finished our food, while still waiting on the order of hot coffee. I called the restaurant to inquire about this and was told that they brew each cup of hot coffee when it’s ordered, and then after it’s brewed, they allow it to sit for an unspecified amount of time so it’s not too hot when it is delivered to the customer. 🤦🏼♀️ About a minute after the phone call, a worker brought out the coffee, but without the sugar or creamer that it was ordered with, and without an apology for the excessive amount of time it took to receive it. When the coffee was ordered, at no time were we told that an order of a cup of hot coffee would take 20 minutes. We were stopping in Fargo on our way back home to Minot, and had no intention of and did not plan to sit in the parking lot for 20 minutes and wait on a cup of hot coffee. If we had been told that at the time that we initially ordered it, we never would have placed that order. This is ridiculous. I’ve never had this happen to me at a fast food restaurant in my life. If however this is the policy of Chick-fil-A, then they need to make a point of telling the customer that when they order a cup of hot coffee, that it’s going to take a minimum of 20 minutes for them to get it....
Read moreI have been to many chick-fil-a's in my day and this is by far the worst one. Not regarding the food, but the service and treatment by staff. I am not usually one to review or complain but this is the second time this has happened in a short period. The disrespect and disregard for customers and special needs customers is absolutely appalling.
Last week I tried to order breakfast before work so I could pick it up in the mobile lane. It was still breakfast time but they canceled my order without telling me so I ended up late to work without breakfast but I did order lunch since I still needed to eat something before work.
Then this morning I wasn't able to scan the QR code and the girl at the window was super rude about it. The app said that if you can't scan the QR code for whatever reason then ask the staff and they will get your order themselves. She had an awful attitude with me and told me to go around the line and scan it again. By this point I had been waiting and if I waited again I would miss work. I pleaded with her and told her I couldn't be late but I ended up going around again. This time the QR code didn't let me scan and it ended up making it an indoor pickup order somehow. When she saw my face again, even though she's the one who told me to go around again, her face dropped and she got aggressive AGAIN saying they didn't have my order and I could try to look on the shelf inside. I said okay thank you and I have never heard someone say "My pleasure" in such a snarky angry way.
Once I went inside to wait, the manager on duty kept giving me and the other customers dirty looks and she ignored every customer that talked to her even just to say thank you. A special needs man asked her for a refill and she ignored him for a few minutes, and once she got him the refill he was trying to speak with her and she didn't respond to anything he said. Everyone else waiting inside had their name called out but when my order was ready she glared at me, didn't call my name, and walked past me while keeping eye contact to put it on the shelf. I have genuinely never seen such a blatant disregard and disrespect in a customer service environment, especially on this scale. I would not recommend this location to anyone especially anyone with a disability as it is incredibly clear how they feel about...
Read moreCons: Check your order: They always seem to forget stuff. Terrible carside service (twice they handed my food to a different car and then gave it to me) Couldn't hear anything the employee taking my order said.
Pros: Great food Pricing (around $7-8/meal) Clean environment Fast service Kids play area
The food makes me me come back all the time. The service is pretty bad consistently. They're polite, but they forget things often or do things that make you scratch your head.
We came in at 9:45 PM (15 minutes before close) and a couple weeks after opening. We ordered through the app and our food came out in a timely manner. It met my expectations across the board. The food is priced modestly and for what you pay, you get a good bang for your buck. You can get a good meal for less than $10. I thought everything tasted great and would recommend getting the Chick-fil-A sauce on the side for whatever you're going to get.
The kids play area is rather small, but it definitely works. I think most kids will enjoy it for a short time at least.
Edit: I don't think they thought about their carside setup. I ordered about 20 minutes in advanced. When I arrived, I still had to wait 15 minutes which was about as long as the drive-thru. To add to that mess, the guy who brought the food out gave it to the wrong person, they gave it back, he brought it inside, then he finally gave it to me. Somewhat shady getting food that was in another person's car (even if it's for a brief moment). I would have been more proactive about getting out and handling things, but I had my kid in the car.
I had the same thing happen again where they gave my food to a person in another car (after I made eye contact with the person and waved at them--I was there first and could tell it was my order). They still second-guessed and handed the food to the person in a different car, got the food back, then gave it to me. They also forgot forks for a salad we got. How is there not a better confirmation process?
Dine-in was 5 stars....
