If I could give them less than one star I would. Their products are very good but their customer service is not. I ordered a dresser and a chest to be delivered on a Thursday. The next day I received a call that due to damage on the dresser, they would not be able to deliver until the following Tuesday. I was told the deliver would be made in the morning only to finally receive delivery at the end of the day - one day missed from work instead of a morning - and when they finally came, the dresser was damaged where they said it was. This meant that I waited for delivery only to have the damaged dresser delivered anyway! When I called the store to speak with the manager, I was told the manager was with a customer and would call me when they were finished. Two hours later I called back only to find out that not only did not manager not call me back, the manager left for the day and told someone else to call! Totally unacceptable!
After speaking with the assistant manager, I found out that I would again have to wait until the following Tuesday to receive delivery of the new dresser as all delivery trucks were already booked and they could not do anything any sooner. Again, unacceptable!
So now I was stuck with a damaged dresser that I couldn't use and had to continue to keep my clothes in boxes until they delivered the new dresser. When they finally came, it was pouring rain and (again) at the end of the day so I missed yet another full day of work.
I was contacted by the sales person (not the store manager) regarding my purchase and upon hearing what happened offered me a refund of my delivery fee. Two weeks went by and I still had not received my refund to I contacted the sales person to inquire what was going on. He put me on hold and came back to let me know that the store manager just submitted the request for my refund!
While the product I purchased was of good quality and looks great now that I finally have it in place, I will never shop at Haverty's again. Product is not the only factor in a good purchase, .... customer service is something that counts toward return customers. Sorry, .......
Read moreTo start havertys furniture is definitely heavy hardwood quality...but that doesn't mean it's made well.
Some pieces are so unprofessionally made that they're not straight, so they need to keep being replaced over and over. Unfortunately this also means that the house is damaged over and over. While havertys seemingly will replace pieces to make it right, they assure pieces will be inspected before being loaded to make sure they're not defective, but the inspection doesn't matter. The delivery people told me the item still has the same issue and a CS manager says there was an inspection and will be following up why there still was an issue.
The latest delivery people did so much damage they handed me their installer touch up pen asking me to not tell anyone to try to make up for it, then immediately ran out of the house to avoid talking about the house damage. Now I'm having to deal with Liberty Mutual to deal with this because Havertys won't deal with it themselves, so they pass it off to insurance.
I wish havertys had better delivery quality because their furniture seems to be good overall when it is correct. But with how much damage they cause it's unfortunately not worth it. They won't repair the damage, they also won't reimburse directly to repair. They ONLY will reimburse to your financing account, which means you have to repair out of...

Just wanted to say thank you for helping us select a motorized loveseat and recliner which met our specifications for being "small" compared to over-stuffed since our living room in our older home is a bit small. You knew your product line and did not waste time showing us items which would not meet the measurements we provided. You helped us measure the furniture to ensure the descriptions matched "reality" and of course, you were right! You even took time to print out pricing with and without an extended warranty with a break-down of the things covered and not covered by the extended warranty. : To be honest, we checked two competitors that evening and none had the narrower furniture we required, and you suggested that they would be hard to find. The next day, on 30AUG2025, we came back to your store, Haverty's in Fayetteville, NC and placed the order with the extended warranty due to having motorized reclining mechanisms (anything mechanical can break!). Since you had printed the pricing, it did not take long to pay for the order and schedule the delivery.
