I used to come here almost everyday cause I worked down the street. Now that I live down the street I don't go as often. But went today because my daughters wanted to shop and get some things for our trip. I was dressed way down wearing sweatpants and hoodie with a messy bun. But I guess the fact that my hair isn't blonde and I'm looking borderline homeless to these people is enough for me and my daughters whom by the way were dressed perfectly fine, to get followed throughout the store. It's terribly humiliating and degrading. And I noticed and told my daughters to watch what happened next when we moved to the other isle by the shoes. Within minutes the security guard was behind us and the employee that was following/watching us switched isles as well!!!! Wow I can't believe this actually happened, I got a bit frustrated and I didn't even want to be in the store any second longer! I have money and I don't go places to steal that's never been who was or am. I wanted to cry, I gathered the things I had in the cart and even put them back and the security being right next to me locked eyes with me and I said to him there was no need to be following me I'm not a criminal. With a shaky voice I left the store. I'll never be returning this is very disappointing and breaks my heart that I can't be in sweatpants and a messy bun because I'm not a thin blonde with blue eyes. In my vehicle I contacted the store and asked for a manager then I was hung up on and I called back the manager magically answered the phone and had not one ounce of sympathy. I guess this is the world we live in nowadays. I don't want anything from this company but for them to treat everyone with dignity and respect. Don't assume we are bad...
Read moreI am a regular customer here since I moved to Federal Way in 2012. This place was always one of my favorite places to shop and the employees here were so nice and helpful. But today (12/05/2015), it was the first time that I have had the worst customer service experience ever before at this TJ.Maxx.
I came to the store around 6 p.m to buy some clothes for my mom. I was browsing clothes at the lady's racks, and accidentally one of the dress from the rack fell off from the hanger. I picked it up and put it back on the hanger; unfortunately, it fell off again. And there was an employee was standing behind me, she picked up the dress, and I was about saying thanks to her, but you know what? She looked at me and said:"So you don't like this dress!" Then she angrily put the dress back on the rack and made her way out in front of my face, turned around, stared at me and shaken her head!!!! What was that behavior??? Was that my fault? Customers come here to shop and you are hired to do your job. If you can't do your job, at least you have to make customers feel enjoyable when they are shopping and feel happy when they leave.
My shopping mood totally was destroyed and I didn't bothered to shop anymore. I came to check out and asked to talk to the manager, and thankfully, the manager was so pleased to take care of this...
Read moreUnfortunately, I had my mind set on doing most of my Christmas shopping here. I didnt have much time and procrastinated slightly on time. Well, I was so glad to find about 99% of my needed gift shopping to be right here at TJ. I got to the store 1 hour before close so I had to rush. Two days later(xmas eve) I grabbed my tj bag to start wrapping when I was shocked to find 4/5 beauty products swatched and the sponges dirty. The last beauty product didnt even have the pan of face powder in the compact! I went to return or exchange, with receipt right away where I was made a complete fool of by the associate and the manager, yelling at me for trying to return anything on christmas eve. They refused to let me speak and directed me to the door. The girl even had to make fun of my clothes and told me I looked dirty. I spent over $300 here! I will never...
