I went in to make an appointment in person 2 days ago for my appointment today. I should have left immediately; don't know why I didn't. The lady at the front desk went from sitting there to directing me to the table behind a curtain. I never saw her wash her hands so I assumed she would wear gloves. I had shown her a picture of what I want and she quoted a price and the lashes she would be using. I'm on the table with my eyes closed so I don't know if she has on gloves or a mask; another time I should have left. She never even prepped my eyes for the lashes. She used dry tape on my lower lids and just began placing lashes on. After she did the first eye I felt a little burning feeling and she responded "actually no you're not" she did my other eye and it felt even worse! She finally offered me a fan and then turned it off abruptly! Once she was done she didn't even offer me a mirror to look at my lashes; not even a tissues for my tearing eyes. The entire time she worked on my lashes she was talking to another woman while she was that close to my face. Then her child came over and was screaming right in my ear. I can't make this up people. She walked away, went to the front desk and got on her cell phone. She said when you're ready you're done and you can go. Of course not before taking my $140 for lashes that we did not agree on. I was only able to look at my lashes with my small mirror in my purse. My left eye is so irritated and I'm miserable! I shouldn't have paid but of course FWPD would have been there in a heartbeat wasting their time. I try to patronize local businesses, especially the small businesses of people of color. My thing is, how did she get such great ratings but I received such bad service. If she did not want to service me she should have said so 2 days ago. This was the absolute worst experience I've ever had! I can't wait for my Lady from XO nails to return from vacation. That's what I get for being inpatient.    Read moreAfter looking into place to get eyelash extensions I chose this business because it had so many great reviews and because it was close to where I live, but it was a mistake to come here.
My appointment started at 4pm and I was out the door by 4:39pm. This really really upset me because an eyelash extension appointment should take at least 1 Hour to complete, at the least, if it is done well and with care (and especially if it costs $90).
As soon as my appointment started another customer entered the shop and was upset because she thought that her appointment was at 4pm. She then became very loud and rude when she heard that she would have to wait until my appointment was finished. In the end, the other customer really didnât have to wait long because my appointment time was almost cut in half.
I was going to give the lady another chance to refill my eyelashes after 2 weeks and ask her to maybe spend a little more time doing it with care, but after 2 weeks of being unhappy with the way my eyelashes look and after this bad experience, I decided it would be a better choice to just go somewhere else so that it would be done right.
I even tried to call the lady who did my eyelashes and I told her about my experience and how I was unhappy with how my eyelashes came out. And most importantly, that my appointment shouldnât have been rushed through and it only lasted 39 minutes, but she didnât want to hear any of it. She didnât apologize or ask how to rectify the situation. She just said, âwell then you can go somewhere else.â As a business owner, I would think she would know how to handle situations like this a lot better.
I also let her know that I wanted to cancel my 1pm Friday appointment that I had called and set up on Tuesday with her, but she didnât have any record of my appointment. This shows that she doesnât even write down appointments when people call in and set them. And it completely explains why the angry customer came in and interrupted my first session thinking that she had an appointment when I already had one.
Iâm glad I went with my gut and decided to cancel my refill appointment with her because I know I would have gone another few weeks upset with how my eyelashes came out and it would have been more wasted money...
   Read moreIâve only been here 2 times. The first time, I came in to get my lashes filled. I typically get my lashes done at Theary Academy (also in federal way!) and theyâre fantastic. Iâve been doing my lashes for years. I recently decided to look for other lash places just because as much as I love my regular lash place, itâs always hard to get scheduled because they get booked out so quickly. When I first came in, it wasnât busy and I was seen right away which is great. She offered to do my brows and they turned out fine. When it came down to my lashes, she did them fairly quickly and my left eye had glue on it that made it uncomfortable to open my eye for a bit. I usually get a refill every 2-3 weeks but I noticed fall out almost right away. Not to mention that I was told threading my brows would be $8 yet my bill didnât seem to match the prices for my lashes and brows.
Today, I came in for a refill (itâs been exactly 2 weeks) and the lady said most of the lashes were gone and I needed a full set. I didnât want to walk around with my lashes looking crazy so I opted to get my lashes done anyways, but I was pretty upset that my lashes didnât even last 2 weeks like it usually does. Like I said, Iâve been getting my lashes done for years and Iâve had them done in maybe 3 different places and NEVER have I had so much fall out in less than 2 weeks. And my lashes came out uneven and clumpy. She also did a full set in less than an hour which was odd to me because every time I get my lashes done, it takes much longer than this. It felt like she was rushing and it also hurt from time to time which is weird because Iâve never experienced that in the years Iâve been getting my lashes done. I expected to pay ~$70 today for a full but instead I paid $126 for a full set that didnât even turn out the way I wanted.
I think the staff is nice but I wouldnât recommend this place for lashes. They did a decent job with my brows but other than that, find somewhere else. I also pay the same at my regular lash place and get my moneyâs worth. Unfortunately, I do not think I will...
