I recently visited Kohl's, and I wanted to share my experience and thoughts on the store. Overall, I found the atmosphere to be lively, and the people were friendly and helpful. However, I noticed a discrepancy between the abundance of "sale" signs throughout the store and the actual level of discounts offered. Here's a detailed review of my visit to Kohl's.
One aspect that stood out to me was the vibrant atmosphere at Kohl's. The store was well-lit, clean, and organized, creating a pleasant shopping environment. The layout was easy to navigate, with clearly marked sections for different departments. Additionally, the staff members were attentive and readily available to assist customers. Their friendly demeanor added to the overall positive shopping experience.
Kohl's heavily promotes its sales with "sale" signs scattered throughout the store. While this creates an expectation of significant discounts, I found that the actual savings were not as substantial as advertised. Some items did have reasonable markdowns, but in many cases, the discounts were not significantly different from what I could find at other retailers, including the mall. It felt like the sale signs were more of a marketing strategy rather than a true reflection of the prices.
On the positive side, the variety of merchandise at Kohl's is commendable. They offer a wide range of products, from clothing and accessories to home goods and electronics. This diversity caters to different customer preferences, making it possible to find items for various needs in one place. The quality of the products I examined seemed decent, and the selection was well-stocked.
Despite the pricing aspect, one advantage of shopping at Kohl's is the pleasant ambiance and friendly staff. The store was bustling with shoppers, creating a lively atmosphere. I also appreciated the willingness of the employees to help and provide guidance when needed. Their knowledge about the products and willingness to go the extra mile made the shopping experience enjoyable.
In conclusion, while Kohl's offers a lively atmosphere, friendly staff, and a wide range of products, the actual discounts provided during sales were not as significant as anticipated. The prevalence of "sale" signs may create the impression of substantial savings, but in reality, the prices were not markedly different from other retailers, including the mall. However, if you value a vibrant shopping environment and interactions with helpful staff, Kohl's may still be...
Read moreSo my husband and I purchased a suit, ties, and shirts for his mothers funeral this weekend. To our surprise the cashier was not attentive and did not take the security tag off the tie in which we were stopped at the front by the security detector going off. After they found it was the tag on our ties we were then able to leave. Apparently my husband had a plastic security tag stuck on the left pocket of the suit coat. We left the suits and shirts in the bag until Sunday when we were getting ready for the funeral. To our surprise guess what, mistake number two she did not take the tag off of the suit where as my husband had to walk around with the security tag stuck on his suit coat all afternoon at the funeral home. How embarrassing is that??!! After a couple people noticing it and thinking it was funny which only made matters worse, I called the Kohl’s there in Fenton where we purchased them and spoke to Jackie in the men’s department in which I was able to bring it back and somebody would take the tag off. Wonderful, I live in de Soto Missouri which is about an hour away I don’t feel I should have to use my gas to come back to get a tag off that should have been taken off in the first place. I asked to speak to a manager and I spoke to Mike. Apparently Jackie filled him in on my situation and I told him how embarrassing it was and how I am having to take time out to come get the tag off that should have been taken off in the first place. After being told by Mr. Mike that it was an oversight like that really should be an excuse she did it twice during the same purchase. I told him that I am coming from De Soto Missouri and how was he going to make this right for me. All this guy was offering was 25% off of the suit really? Not good enough, I told him I am coming and hour away having to come after a funeral and that is all he was wanting to offer. I’m very disappointed in Kohl’s and I think your cashiers should pay more attention especially when somebody is purchasing a high ticket item(s) and take the security tags off. When something happens twice it’s not just an oversight, it’s jCarelessness on their part. Not sure if I will be back, shared my story with people at the funeral home and they couldn’t believe that that was all that was offered for my inconvenience given the situation. So if you buy anything from Kohl’s that has a Security tag on it, make sure you point them out, because chances are it’ll probably...
