5 of us had dinner at Ihop tonight. The food was great. The waitress told us she was new, but seemed to do everything correctly. We got our drink or taken and she took our order at the same time. Then we sat. Another table had been seated right after us. Then about 15 minutes after our order was placed another table of about 6 came in. We still wait. The table that was seated after us got their food. (Don't know what they ordered) Then a while later the group of 6 got all their food. We are still waiting. The waitress was good and kept saying that our food should be coming up soon. The 1st table finishes their food and is getting ready to leave. Finally our food comes out. I ask to talk to the manager. She comes out and talks to the table next to us and all they can talk about is how cold it was in there. I ask again. She finally comes out and ask if there is a problem.. I said I had a complaint about the cooks. I explained the problem. She went to check on things. Came back and said that the bigger group had only ordered eggs and pancakes. Not true. At least one of them had ordered Chicken fried steak. She said that since I had ordered fried chicken and it takes 14 minutes to cook. The waitress was suppost to call it out to the cooks, that they didn't know I want fried chicken until they looked at the ticket. (Why are they looking at the other ticket before ours? Ours was placed at least 10 - 15 minutes before theirs). So according to the manager, it was the waitresses fault. I totally disagree. Apparently she was not trained properly! I 'm sure I wasn't the first person to order fried chicken from her. The manager did not try to offer a dessert, or free meal or anything. She just walked away. I do not feel this was handled right for us the customer or to the new waitress. Something needs to be done about the training and customer satisfaction with...
Read moreThis place is really going downhill. It used to be my favorite IHOP. The last three times I have dined here, we have waited 40 to 45 minutes for our food to come out after ordering. My husband and I don't order anything too complex, just usually eggs and bacon or a sandwich, and they're usually not that busy when were there. We intentionally go during off hours so that they're less busy. The last time we dined here our server actually forgot about us. He never came over for refills and something was missing from my husband's order. I heard numerous other tables complaining about him as well. We attempted to dine here last night. I had asked the server for a booth in the corner. She said no because then she'd have to clean it. Did she not intend to clean the booth we were sat at? There were only two other couples in the room and the couple we were sat right next to were horrendous. They were freely cursing, loudly kissing, and then the girl began sobbing. Had the server let us move a couple booths down like I had asked, it may have been tolerable. We took our business elsewhere. I have social anxiety and don't like being put right on top of someone else's table. The comment about the server having to clean the booth that I requested was a bit off-putting. It didn't really make a lot of sense and we came to the conclusion that she just didn't want to walk the...
Read moreThe bad experience started with the waiter not knowing the menu even as well as myself and my fiance. Because of this my fiance got jipped out of 2 items of food. The waiter acted like he couldn’t add a side of pancakes onto his meal and said he had to replace one of the items in his meal instead. We didn’t argue he opted to replace the eggs with 2 pancakes on the breakfast sampler. After this the waiter claimed he had to pick a meat or he could mix and match 2 when the menu clearly states you get ham, bacon, and sausage. I attempted to order the eggs Benedict and clearly stated I wanted to add mixed berry French toast as an additional side. Before the food came back the waiter came back and asked if I had wanted blueberry French toast and I corrected him and said it was mixed berry he mumbled a short “I’ll see what I can do” Once the food came out my fiance was shorted ham and one pancake. My eggs Benedict was cold and I had to ask someone else for my side as the waiter failed to bring the potatoes that were supposed to come with the meal. My French toast was still blueberry, not mixed berry and also was extremely burnt. I personally have never had a bad experience with this IHOP until today and I have frequented this location. I will not be back...
