With the exception of my checkout experience and a few housekeeping and safety issues, the outside appearance of the store doesn’t hold a candle to the many surprises and selections inside. My shopping experience has always been great until my last visit during the first week of October. First, while I was waiting in line to check out, I listened to the cashier become so rude with an elderly customer who didn’t understand technology and the rewards program. As a matter of fact, her rudeness was so audible until I really didn’t want to go in her line to check out. Unfortunately, she was the only one working the check out. When I went up to check out, she did not speak. I actually spoke to her. She continuously tried to force my applying for a store credit card down my throat even after I told her no & I used to have one years ago, but I don’t use it anymore and I closed the account. She kept insisting on me reopening the account and receiving an additional percentage off of my purchase. I also told her being that I am in the finance industry anytime you reopen a card or even apply for one it can lower , your credit score as much as 10 points, regardless if approved or not. She continued to try to sell me on the idea and even said that she would look it up. I told her no then when I presented my coupons that I had, she discounted them and once again, said if you open your credit card back up you would get this amount and only owe under $75. I told her no, I am good. After she finished the transaction, she stated in a very condescending manner that you can’t return these and expect to keep the discount that you received. I told her that’s fine. Her attitude was one to be desired. The date of my transaction was on October 4 , 2024 at 1:09 PM. I don’t know the persons name but the store number of course is this one and the employee number appears to start with 2958. I’m not sure if she was having a bad day, but her unprofessionalism should never be tolerated by such a reputable company. If she needs sensitivity training on helping elderly, disabled, or any other protected class, then I recommend the company provide that to all of the employees. If she needs additional training on Customer Service, I recommend the company provides it to her. I also recommend that they put her on another probationary period. If she does not continue to improve, then she should be terminated. Otherwise, she makes the company look really bad. Because of her actions, this is why I rate the...
Read moreGreat customer service at this Kohl's location. We got there about 8:00 PM an hour before closing time. I had some Kohl's cash that was expiring that night so I had to find something so it didn't go to waste. I was greated with friendly hellos by a couple of their staff with just one rude employee that I interacted with. I went to the men's section and the inventory was VERY low. I literally mean there was nothing. Most of the shelves were about 75% empty and the displays are spread wide apart to hide the empty floorspace. I tried to find a couple polo shirts with no success due to the fact that the majority of the sizes were small or 4 XL. So I switched it up and looked for some shorts. Again hardly any shorts in stock like their shirt section. I found a pair I like and again either small or very large sizes. I found one pair that looked a little big so I went to the fitting room to try them on and saw that the fitting room was closed. I got the associate working the men's section folding shirts and asked her if I could go and try on the shorts. She opened the fitting room with a smile and said of course. I tried on the shorts that ended up being too big and walked out disappointed. The associate saw my disappointment and I continued to go look for something else. As I was looking for another pair of shorts that same Kohl's employee walked over to me with a similar style of shorts I had tried on thar were too big and asked if I wanted to try them. I was so impressed by the effort she made to help me find the style of shorts I was shopping for. This kind of effort is rare anymore. I totally appreciated the fact that she did that for me. This Kohl's was a nice shopping experience due to that employee and it made up for the stores very low inventory. The shorts ended up being too big as well but I liked them so much so I searched the Kohl's app and they were available online to be shipped. So I ordered the shorts and spent my Kohl's cash....
Read moreMostly great store experience but depends on their managers in each, definitely. They have ways of cheating you, such as: with out receipt in 2 ways. Once an item goes on special sale, they never put back out at their orig. Kohls price as they go to clearance racks! And if you can still find said item in regular place & price, in customer service they at times say a $60 item sold for $12.00 in the last 3 months. So that's all you get in credit. Which is a lie as others wouldn't be in reg. stock. If any, they would be in clearance. Plus whatever taken back that goes on a Kohls card to spend later, they write on back in black felt pen (sounds great) but if you have it a while not using it, you may have $ 80.00 plus & they will say it comes that you only have $23.28. When you KNOW it's never been used. It has happened to me numerous times. In fact I told someone recently & that happened to them also. I wonder how many thousands of others too! ONE OTHER IMPORTANT THING. ALWAYS check if you don't (as I didn't for years). When you buy from the CLEARANCE RACK, Match up the clearance price with your sales slip when you get home! (FOR YEARS I DIDN'T). Until one night I did. I bought 6 items (seemed such a good buy). Put on my charge card. That night happened to try to match them to charge slip & found on 4 of them I was charged the reg. Kohls price not the Clearance price on the special sticker. It amounted to over $50.00. SO, BUYER BEWARE , is all I'm saying. It is a good deal if you take the time to be careful & check EVERY TIME! Makes me sick when I think how many thousands I may have lost over the years thinking I was such a good...
