G Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Fort Lauderdale

Friendly yet rushed staff going through the motions. The dining place is only still the outdoor patio&bar. Ordered a Caesar salad and Caribbean steak. Both arrived ‘eventually’ in a takeout bag and styrofoam boxes. Wasn’t told that. Food arrived in one go (would have appreciated the salad ahead) Less than lukewarm and ‘chewy’. I can appreciate Covid 19 precautions but my experience was very very underwhelming especially for the price. Caesar salad didn’t come with anchovis even when asked. ‘We have no anchovis’. Cutlery was absent, while it was being fetched (plastic) food got even colder. The basic need of getting fed was met I guess. Was it enjoyable and memorable? Big no. I regret I didn’t hop in a cab or an Uber instead and unfortunately I was lured by the convenience of the on-site facility. I would not return here. Again the staff was friendly (esp Philippines Janice) but seemed to be going through the motions. Not the Hilton I’m used to. Lots of lack of care. Do better...

Food was very good, each dish we had. Some dishes were not always done traditionally, but no complaints with the taste. They even had a mushroom risotto someone with us ordered and said was the best he ever had. Not a big menu, but a good variety. Appetizers, hand held dishes (tacos, hamburgers, chicken strips), and full meals, including fish.

Location was terrific and never crowded. You can sit at the bar or they have tables with umbrellas. All dining...

Terrible service. If you want something from the bar, go to bar and order it. And if you want a refill, get up from table and go back to bar. 18% tip included on everything even if you wait on yourself. And if you’re hungry, don’t eat here. 4 pieces of French toast, actually 2 pieces cut in halves, and water to drink is $33. Probably want to skip this...
