If you are looking for a custom cowboy hat (or really just cute attire generally, RUN to Flea Style. I am from out of town and visit once a year. This visit, I wanted the custom cowboy hat experience. I found Flea Style on Instagram and they did not disappoint. While I went in for the hats, the entire shop is so cute. We got to try on different hat colors and styles until I found the right one. From there, there are so many options for hat accessories. It is as customizable as you want, all the way down to custom branding. If you go, you might even be lucky enough to meet Brittany, the owner, and have her bring your hat to life personally. What a treat that was. I would recommend this place to anyone and totally would bring my friends.

Did I make a beautiful hat? yes. However I have been to other hat making places and this experience was definitely a let down compared to what I have seen. I felt rushed, every little detail was an additional price. The girl didn’t seem to want to be there, much less give me ideas on what I could do. My previous experience was in Nashville (not fleastyle) and it was the most amazing thing ever and is why I was so excited to make a new hat. The place lacked personality and creativity. I personally will not be back to this place. Edit to add- my accessories were not glued in and already lost the cards that was in my hat.

Making your own cowgirl hat, good idea. This is a pricey souvenir, just be aware. The experience is pretty cool. Choosing accessories can take a bit of time so be prepared. Spreading out the different "stations" helps from everyone being on top of each other during the process. There is a book of ideas available for those who are having a hard time deciding on their style. The girls putting the hats together do a good job of helping chose placement, colors, and accessories for each hat. Have fun and show off your style while you enjoy the Stockyards.

Tried this past week during a girls mini staycation at The Drover, Ft Worth (4 of us). We did not make an appointment (although they recommend) and they were able to take us. I personally was having an awful morning, but Amanda kept a smile on her face, was encouraging and changed it all around for me with just her vibe! Very appreciated! All the ladies were nice and offered plenty of help, regardless if they were specifically working the hat bar or even originally helping us!! All attentive. Take aways: Hats are a bit pricey for what they are IMO and the accessories most definitely are $$, but then again you are going for the experience which didn't disappoint; we had lots of fun watching each others hats being put together, making suggestions, etc! I would suggest bringing a couple of your own items to add to your hat, heirlooms (great choice) or other! And then add in filler from what they have. Their feathers, flowers and material (scarves) choices were beautiful. I was a 'lil disappointed in the selection of hat colors, but again went for the experience with friends and we and the associates made it work! If you have a certain color in mind, I would suggest calling first to ask if they have in stock...you can always bring your own hat (for a small fee). Two of us bought there, two of us brought with us*

All in all, we would...

I have been wanting to go into this store for quite some time now. My husband and I were staying at the Drover for our anniversary last Thursday night so I thought it was the perfect time to step in. I have a hat that I wanted to get branded, wasn’t quite ready to make a hat from scratch since I didn’t have an appointment. None of the associates ever greeted or said anything. We walked up to the counter where one was sitting on her cell phone and asked if they could brand my hat since it wasn’t purchased from there. She asked another associate who seemed hesitant, while the third associate sitting down pretty bluntly said to her ‘I wouldn’t do it’. The original girl we asked told us we could go wait by the branding area and someone would be over to help us shortly. We waited 15 minutes and nobody ever walked over. All the while one of the others working was sitting on their phone.

I noticed someone else in the past week left a review with almost the exact same experience. It feels as though if we aren’t buying a hat from the store, then branding one isn’t worth their time. Pretty upsetting and sad to say that I will never go back to have a...

I would highly recommend finding a different hat bar. Such a cute concept, but it would be much better if they hired people who actually have a single drop of kindness or customer service. None of the employees greeted us or asked us if we needed any help, but three of them were at the counter by the entrance. They were too busy talking to each other, and they were extremely rude when I approached. I asked if I just needed to hop in line at the hat bar. One lady with claws said yes and went right back to chit chatting. After waiting at the hat bar for a few minutes, the same lady with the claws decided to come help us. She just sat down and looked at us without saying anything, so I approached. She continued to stay silent and just tried to put my selected ribbons on the hat. Her claws were so long that she couldn’t even put the ribbon on the hat correctly. I finally had enough. I just bought the plain hat because I liked it, but I was ready to get out of there because it was such an...
