WARRANTY IS A SCAM! They don’t even read your claims they just give you the same copy/pasted answer. I disputed and got the same copy pasted answer. I tried calling and agent said accidents (which are “covered”) are only clean cuts like with scissors so rips and tear are always normal wear and tear. I asked to talk to manager and he said managers don’t talk to customers. I tried contacting Living spaces for selling a scam warranty but they don’t respond either.

Update 2/19/24: I contacted living spaces since the warranty center is a 3rd party. They said it’s NORMAL for an almost 2K couch to get rips/tears after a year use

So DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY on their furniture or a 5 year warranty when they expect their furniture to fall apart after a year and they don’t cover normal wear and tear.

Our couch had no stains, rips or anything prior to the claim but they said based on pics the cushions have lost resilience and told us our claim was denied and ruled normal wear and tear because of the worn appearance. Please explain to me have 3 rips at once is normal??? I reported the claim as soon as I saw it, if it was normal wear and tear it would’ve been a small rip not a large one

Original :

Will NEVER buy from them again due to the warranty center. I bought the 5 year warranty for a couch. Over Christmas 3 rips happened on 2 cushions. Submitted claim and came back as normal wear and tear. I tried to disputed and submit another claim and I keep getting the same copy and pasted answer of its normal wear and tear. How are 3 rips in 2 cushions at one time normal wear and tear??? Are they saying their products quality is so bad they expect it to rip in several places in a year?? I tried calling and I cannot actually talk to a human. It has been the most frustrating process. After they denied my claim twice they offer a “discount” on repairs. Was this their plan all along? Sell you warranty, deny your claims and ask you to pay for repairs?

Question for living spaces: the response to this review says “will address this issue to ensure it doesn’t happen again” yet have made no attempt to contact me to address it. I reached out to living spaces and this is the response I received from living spaces when I asked them to contact the warranty on my behalf bc they don’t allow customers to talk to manager. “ I did make contact, but unfortunately, we are unable to provide assistance. You will need to contact Carefree directly regarding this claim.” So what exactly are you doing to address this issue? Ignoring it and hoping...

This is going to be long and bad review. So, we purchased recliner in 76177 TX location month ago to be delivered and assembled with box clean up, and all other trash that will stay after furniture setup. However, I'm not sure what happened, but on the day of delivery, delivery guys dropped our furniture and into our place, and tried to explain that they will not assemble our furniture, or do anything but delivery. When we checked out receipts, we realized that assemble was not part of that even though we were told it's going to be added along with clean up. Long story short, we called customer service, and they apologized for inconvenience and they told us that someone will show up the same day between 6pm and midnight!! Oh well, of course that nobody showed up again and we decided to put our furniture together next day without calling and checking. Also, during out purchase, salesman told us that we can purchase care free 5 years protection plan, that can cover any potential damages during 5 years and that we have 5 days after delivery to do it, if we don't take it right away in their store. I was already frustrated when I called 2nd day to purchase care free plan, and guess what, customer service told me that they have no clue what I'm talking about and that we have 1 year manufacturer warranty only and they don't sell any kind extended plan!!! I said ok again because we were moving and we have a lot lof things going on, and I didn't have patience to deal with them again. However, I overslept and I decided to try again and call store, explain that we were misinformed about pretty much everything, and that I'm looking still for someone to help we with additional protection plan. She was kind to listen all I had to say, and she said that they DO have additional protection and I can purchase it, but only 2 days after delivery not 5 like we were advised. She apologized for all bed experiences and misinformations, but she said there is nothing she can do at this point. So I handed up frustrated again...In 10, 15 minutes my phone rang, and it was the same lady that told me that I had 2 days to purchase my protection plan, telling me now that she misguided me and that it's actually 3 days and that I can do it with no problems at all. I don't know what else to say but, if you have tons of nerves go ahead and do shopping there, otherwise avoid...

Don’t be fooled. The store is gorgeous but the furniture quality is awful! We ordered a “custom” (aka exactly the floor model) sectional for our living room. The pieces came to our home damaged and misaligned. Customer service here is an absolute hassle. It took me many calls and complaints to finally get them to send out someone to assess the furniture for “repair”. The tech deemed the whole thing was broken.

I’m talking within a year this $3500+ sectional was sagging across multiple pieces, the fabric had become pilled and loose, the seams on the couch cushions were stretched, the cushion foam had sagged and had wrinkles in them, and the back of the couch came misaligned. The tech asked me if we had installed the brackets wrong—we told him it came preinstalled! He just shook his head. Two of the “custom” pillows came unraveled at the seams. They also were going flat! Shortly after these photos the pillows came undone so bad I had to toss them. One side of the sectional came with a sagging frame (there is a tilt when you sit on it.) The kicker is there are only two of us in the home at the time. No kids, no pets, no guests. My one year old couch looked like it had been abused in a public space or gone through years of use.

My cousin also bought a sectional from LS and had issues with theirs as well. The frame for the arm rests started sagging within a year on theirs.

After that inspection LS gave us the option for replacement or store credit. We chose store credit. Then the lady tells me I only have 90 days to spend it! 90 days to spend $3500+. Upon returning to the store we took a better look and everything was cheaply made. We had a very hard time using the store credit (because we didn’t want to buy another bad item) and ended up buying a mattress from a known brand as that was one of the few things not made by LS.

I like browsing their stores but their quality sucks and their prices are high. Stick with Haverty’s or Nebraska Furniture.

They get two stars because at least I finally got a refund in the form of store credit. But the quality deserves a one star. Also, I did not know I had ordered a “custom” piece until I tried to cancel (before delivery). Be careful of their hidden policies! Just because you order something you see on the floor does not mean it’s a standard item! Those reps may not inform you (as they...
