Solay Fort Worth — Local services in Fort Worth

This is a beautiful community, and I do want to acknowledge that the representatives I’ve worked with have been very kind and professional, they really do go the extra mile. This complex is not bad by any means but my issues deal with lack of transparency. That being said, I’ve run into some frustrations that I think are worth mentioning for anyone considering moving here.

The biggest concern for me has been the lack of transparency around fees. I was told that outside of my basic rent, water, and sewage (normal fees), the only additional fee I should expect was $16 for non-utility items. I'm sure somewhere in fine print it states there is more, but the people I spoke with prided themselves in the little to no additional fees like most complexes charge, and like a normal person I trusted the apartment and the piece of paper I was given while touring. That was a major reason I chose this apartment, since it felt refreshingly straightforward compared to other communities. I even found myself bragging to friends and family that Solay didn’t have the endless add on charges you see everywhere else.

However, once I moved in, I found I was also being charged for things like a $12 trash fee (for non-valet trash), common area electricity ($20), a rent service fee ($3), and a pest control fee ($4.69). Which you can see is not $16 a month in additional fees. It’s not that the costs themselves are unreasonable, but rather that they weren’t disclosed upfront and I likely would have made a different decision if I had known in advance.

When I moved in, there was also a water leak in my unit. Management was kind and took care of it quickly, and we appreciated that, but it still wasn’t the best thing to deal with right after moving from out of state. In addition, the power has gone out fairly often. I know this may not be management’s fault, but it’s something to be aware of if you work from home, as it has caused me some issues and headaches when it happens.

Overall, it’s a lovely complex with nice amenities and good people, but I can’t help but feel it’s become like many other communities, not as transparent as I was led to believe. I think future residents deserve full clarity on fees before signing, so they know exactly...

I lived here for a year, definitely one of the good places I’ve lived at. My unit was on the highest floor and was happy staying here. Immediately on my move in, I noticed a tote bag on the counter inside my unit, with a coffee mug and a bottle of wine! That made me feel welcome and I’ve always liked apartment that do that (very nice touch).

Janet the manager, and Holden the leasing agent, were the two I mostly interacted with while staying. They are definitely people that will get you good customer satisfaction. The property manager even gave me some good contacts for my future move to another state. Apartments look nice and modern, great gym, the business center was a life saver at times, has package lockers for deliveries, no fee/open parking spots, gates always worked, and the grounds were always kept clean.

ONLY FEEDBACK I hope they consider: Would be beneficial if the music volume in the business center/computer area was lowered down or just off. Makes it more comfortable for using as a study area or for “business” type use.

When I move back to FW, I’ll definitely consider this...

Absolutely Gorgeous!!!

The other day I went on a tour with my sister and we both fell in love with this luxurious complex!!!! Kyle P. added another level of comfort when he was showing us the place around as well as answering all of our questions... I wish more people were as efficient and friendly like him. Not only that, but he made a personalized tour based on what we were looking for. I loved the architecture and the spacious floors. The interior design adds a touch of modern elegance that I have Not seen around the Fort Worth area. The fitness center is super convenient because it is 24/7 and they have amazing equipment that my GYM don't even have. I loved the Social Louge, it's a perfect way to bond with loved ones. Overall, the accommodations are phenomenal, it's affordable and the area is so convenient because is in the middle of everything...tons of restaurants, stores, and entertaining locations. This place gives me peace of mind and security.
