So, it has taken me a week to write this review as I am an avid "local shop" shopper. I was hoping that over time I would feel differently and possibly find a place in my heart to find justification about my 2 experiences while shopping at "There's No Place Like Home Furniture" I was greeted at the front door, and welcomed, but after a brief chit chat towards the front of the store, I told the very helpful sales women what brought me in this day(s). We discussed my vision and the multiple items I was in the market for. After this 5-10 min conversation, I was asked to put on a mask, okay, no problem, she went to the back, (while i waited awkwardly by the front door, unable to enter further), she brought me a mask to wear, (while I heard her asking around to other employees where masks were to give to a customer), I respectfully put the mask on, she stated that management requires that everyone wear while in the store. Ok, whatever...... She, the sales lady, takes me to the back to look through catalogs, swatches for fabrics ideas and even to look at her computer for other ideas that might suit my needs. Meanwhile, 2 other employees were at the same table, without masks and interacting with myself and my sales lady (who was wearing a mask, let me add). The two other ladies who I assume was "management" never attempted, nor had a mask in sight. Now, I am fully vaccinated, and I offered that information to the lady who greeted me and asked me to put on a mask, but, here is my problem.....this happened not once but twice to me, the only 2 times I have visited the store, as I am new to the neighborhood. I work for a major airline which requires all passengers and employees to wear a mask 100% while on property, how in the world can you ask your paying customers to do one thing, and the employees are allowed to do as they please? Please note my sales women was an absolute delight, but the other two women at the table set a bad example for the store and their attitudes where as if they were above everyone around them. Side note, the young men unloading and restocking items were unmasked also. I mentioned this to my husband, whom asked if I confronted the women, and regretfully I said, No I did not. I am not a confrontational person and frankly quite shy when it comes to controversial situations. Somehow I can't seem to forget the way I felt while shopping here and I am absolutely positive I will not do business with them which is a shame because my sales lady was lovely and only abiding by the rules...
Read moreUPDATE: Received the couch and it was broken. The delivery guys immediately started taking pictures and contacted the store. Within 30 minutes I had a call from a custom repairman who said he could come the next day to look at it. He came, assessed and said he needed to contact the store to see if they wanted him to fix it or reorder. Because it would take another 6 weeks and he was capable, they asked him to fix it. Today, it looks perfect! Was my excitement crushed when it came in? Yes. Was it anyone's fault? Not that I know of. Did it get fixed and my uber excitement return? Yes! Update over. Such a great find! We have been looking for a couch and never thought we'd come across a custom option that's well priced 😍 We cannot wait to take delivery. Oh and the owner and staff are personable and very patient (we asked a lot of questions). Highly recommend this establishment. Cool pieces on site, and lots of options to...
Read moreOutstanding Service, Great People. I have been looking for years for an Eames Lounge Chair. The owner not only had the chair, but was sweet and talked to us about her philosophy, taking care of her customers and how she could help us with anything.
We later asked about getting a couch and a chair. She asked that if you provided a photo of the item you want, measurements, I can find a better quality item for you. She is very receptive and they offer free design services if you want to just make a change to any room. Her prices are competitive, but quality is stellar.
I love my Eames Chair. In all of the metroplex, I could not find the chair and ottoman. Thank you. I love it and we will continue to shop and support you. You are local, okay about an hour away, but local and an awesome small business that we are...
