Horrible customer service experience tonight with Lisa and the manager on duty. The only positive employee was Emerson, who genuinely tried to help but was told by Lisa and the manager not to assist us. It’s sad to think of other customers having to go through this kind of treatment.
I came in around 8pm and at 8:30pm asked to have fabric cut—30 minutes before closing. I was told they could only cut three fabrics due to it being so close to closing time. We had wanted 6 fabrics cut but decided not to push the issue. Lisa cut two, then stopped early to begin closing down the store. At 8:53pm—still before closing—she refused to cut the last fabric, claiming it would take “5 to 10 minutes” to cut one piece of 3-yard fabric. That excuse is absurd. Measuring and cutting fabric is basic service, and there was still time left before the store officially closed.
When Emerson stepped up to help, she was directly told by Lisa and the manager not to serve us. This was after we had already spent about $150 on fabric and other items. Refusing service to paying customers who are well within store hours is unacceptable.
I understand not wanting to keep staff past closing, but when a customer is in the store before closing time, they should receive service until that time—not be dismissed early. Tonight’s interaction was dismissive, unprofessional, and damaging to Michael’s reputation for customer service.
I will be escalating this to Michael’s corporate management, because I believe the company would not condone the way this store treated...
   Read moreMichael's was AMAZING. Their selection was better than the Michael's locations in my area as I traveled to pick up a same day online order. I did some shopping and when I checked out I went to pick up my order and the main item I came for was missing. Apparently it wasn't in stock. I asked the manager who was my cashier and she apologized because the item was actually in stock but was stocked in a different place than normal. She had another employee check me out. The other employee apologized as she had assembled my order. And she gave me 50% off vs the 40% (which is what my original coupon was for). She said I was so polite about the mix up that she felt I deserved it. They fixed the mix up in less than 2 minutes so I didn't have time to get upset let alone check my email to see whether they had even cancelled it to begin with (they had and I missed it).
A third employee assisted me in the store 2 times and another customer helped me reach an item from a tall shelf too. Such an amazing...
   Read moreMe and my wife went to the Michael’s in Arvada Co and asked for 3 different Christmas trees and all were out. So I asked an associate in Michael’s that was helping me to call the Superior Michael’s to see if they had any of the 3 Christmas trees were looking at to see if we can purchase one for our home and Holidays. The associate said she could not call the Superior Michael Store for us. So, my wife called and they had the Christmas tree for us at the front of the store for us. Amazing and the associates at the Superior Michael store carried the Christmas tree to the cash register and to our vehicle too. All had a positive mind set and super pleasant. The Arvada Michael’s lacks a positive attitude and does the very minimal.
So I want to give 5 or more stores for the amazing team at the Superior Colorado Michael store for their work and service.
