Firstly, I want to accentuate the fact that I don’t ordinarily shop at the BIG box chain stores. (With the exception of target). I wanted to return something I had purchased in Astoria, Oregon only a week earlier. So I luckily discovered TJ Maxx in Superior, Colorado. I returned a mug in exchange for bag clips, something we were wanting at home, anyway. Then I thought well, I could use a new shoulder bag so I began looking for a bag. Prices were just so incredibly low.
I heard an alarm that some woman couldn’t seem to stop and was a bit frantic about and yet I could feel she had wonderful energy about her. Next thing I knew she came up to me asking if she could help me and I told her she could. Together we inspected shoulder straps seeing if we could make them longer and with each bag we failed. Yet we realized we have a lot in common and developed a new friendship that feels great to me. Lisa is the most helpful, friendly, intelligent, good-humored, warmhearted and loving salesperson I believe I’ve ever met. She made my experience an absolutely incredible one and so I delved deeper into the store because I’ve been searching for months for the perfect slippers. I’ve spent countless hours looking at slippers … either they didn’t fit and were too loose or too tight or when I walked the back kept slipping off… or they just weren’t comfortable. So I’m looking at all the slippers on the shelves and on the wall thinking that they were well picked off the shelves. Which makes sense since it’s 12° out there right now and lots of snow and probably ice and I’m staying inside and warm. But then one pair were suddenly begging me to notice them and try them on. So I did. Well! I put on the left one because my left foot is larger and the size was not exact. It said 5 to 6 and I wear a six. Unbelievable! The whole slipper, including the bottom and all the sides and the top inside, is insulated by the softest material ever. Although I know it’s human made, the insulation in the boot is soft as a bunny’s fur. I fell in love. I’m wearing the slippers right now and my feet couldn’t feel cozier or warmer. The slippers cost me $13. The liquid hand soap, something I was intending to buy anyway, was five bucks. The carrier with the smaller cosmetic bags that has three great compartments to put things in—and it’s all in one place—was a whopping $13. I am most definitely a new customer of TJ Maxx! Many grateful thanks, especially for...
Read moreI do not understand how this store has such great ratings. It is the most racist store ever. I love shopping and I had not witnessed any racial profiling until then. I initially went into this store to find a cute purse to fit my laptop. The whole time I was looking at them the guy security would not take his eyes off me. I felt uncomfortable so went to the juniors clothes. I went to the fitting rooms and considered buying a few outfits, that was until I saw an employee standing right in front of my fitting room, essentially waiting for me to finish. I left all the clothes and just went to look at accessories, they had these headphones I could not refuse. When I went to check out the cashier saw my item, then left to the rack where I got them (as if I had changed the price tag or something) then came back. Wow if it weren't for those headphones they do not deserve my money and I will...
Read moreTJ Maxx has an awesome business model which allows their inventory to be in season/style and always updating and this one is no different. We realized looking down at our basket that we would have to pack everything in luggage to fly back to Oklahoma and we were almost over on weight for our luggage on the way to Colorado So we came to our senses and bought another piece of luggage to carry all the deals back. Best place to find quality luggage at a reason price too! Side note - you are not allowed to carry the big dry shampoo aerosol cans that all the woman use in the pink bottles. Our carryon bag was pulled out and opened and we had to leave the can at security. Now my wife has to wash her hair like the...
