Avoid this location at all cost, Because of its remote location the food is always cold. Best to drive across 36 and take advantage of ALL the restaurants north of 36. (smatsh burger, mod pizza, MAD Greens, Mile High Pho!) IF your taste buds are really into Asian fare try Mile High Pho! Its Also Cheaper, more filling and probably healthier!
Here is what happened.
I went in for an order of Beijing Beef and there was less than 1/2 a portion in the warm plate. I asked the young man that was taking orders if i could wait for a fresh batch, he said yes and lookeded arround for the manager. The manager (older lady in black shirt) then comes out of the bathroom to fiddle with the ice machine and then pickup a basket from the fryer that had beef in it so I guessed I wouldn't have to wait long.
I then watch The Manager scoop the new cooked meet into a pan, and THEN scoop the old left overs that had been sitting and were less than a portion into the same pan but places it carefully into the corner of the pan away from fresh cooked food. She returns the warming pan back to where the other food is and then she then meticulously gives me the severing of old food that she had moved to the side, and walks off for the other employee to finish preparing my food.
I walked out.
Do place some thought before choosing this location to eat, it is out of the way and not that busy, but this means that the food you are getting is old and cold.
This experience and another where I saw the sister store in Boulder (28th street) use bare hands to scoop and scrape freshly cooked rice into the serving tray are why I will never eat at another panda again, and I will encourage others not to do so.
Look at other review where something worse happened. This habit of leaving old cold half portions and serving them to customers is not a one off, it seems to be standard practice for this restaurant.
[other 1 star review on this place] Alex Borton a year ago- Server refused to make a new batch of Shanghai steak even though the one scoop that was left looked hours old and all dried out. It really makes me not want to come in if they aren't going to make...
Read moreWill step in line with the others and, like others, though I hate leaving bad reviews, this place warrants it. My take is different though as I feel it's probably more an issue with not paying people a living wage than true worker laziness. Went there for a late lunch (like others, was also surprised that the dining room was open, half the times I've stopped here, it's closed, in the middle of the day) and stood around in front of the counter where you order for about ten minutes. Someone was in back washing stuff the whole time. Another was sitting in the eating area wearing their phone headset, deep in their phone, oblivious to any customers (they were probably on break). After waiting my requisite ten-minutes for NO ONE to come to the counter to serve people..., I left. For good. No more at this location. And like others, when I've actually gotten served here and people were actually working, they were out of most of whatever I wanted. Oh well. Enter at your own risk (of totally...
Read moreThe Panda Express in Superior is by far my favorite location - Consistently excellent food and service. I frequently make excuses to drive 30 mins to this location instead of visiting one of the 3 locations in Longmont where I live. The food is always fresh and tastes excellent, and if they're ever out of something they're always happy to make more. I have seen Antonio working there for a long time - He's the chef that works most evenings. Whenever I walk in and see that he's working I'm thrilled because I know the food is going to be A++. I hope he makes top dollar because he's earned it! I eat at Panda Express 2 times a week, and I never regret driving down to Superior because this restaurant sets the bar for every other location. Whenever I recommend Panda Express to someone, I specifically recommend THIS location. The servers have always been very pleasant, the restaurant is usually very clean, and the food is...
