This is nuts. Have any of you looked at the parking lots here? Even the Costco one? Some places have required minimums- is that what led this inanity? Who'd mandate that many spaces and who'd keep them when they learned how few people shop at the Target? This "marketplace" started out badly planned and has gotten worse with low traffic and vacancies.
If it were functional, in-fill with more stores to make the parking lot mean something could be valuable. Since it's not, replacing emptiness with usefulness is good. Cut Target in half and replace the mediocre grocery with a King Soopers. Wouldn't that be nice? I don't think they close stores.
Superior needs a library, community meeting spaces, performing arts center, arts center, maker space, fitness center with Nia (see Nia Colorado, Nia- Now), yoga, etc. That monster parking lot has environmental costs (see what Houston has learned about flooding), this town is missing some aspects needed to be more of a community- wouldn't it be nice to be a hero instead of...
Read moreAnchored by Whole Foods, this large shopping center covers all the chain store basics in one trip. Plenty of parking and plenty of stores. Shop Whole Foods, grab a Starbucks, stop in at Cosco for their organic blueberries and spinach and pick up a new electronic gadget on your way out. If you need a new outfit on the cheap, you’ve got TJ Max, Target and Ulta Beauty for a new lipstick or a myriad of other make-up treats. You can even get your hair cut and styled. Also Home Depot, Party City, Michael’s, PetSmart, and many other familiar chains. Living in the city of Philadelphia, I miss the convenience of driving to a nearby shopping center, filling my trunk and going home to my own private parking spot. But you can’t walk to a super hot restaurant district in the spread out front...
Read moreReasonable collection of stores located nicely at McCaslin exit off 36. However, the design of traffic path is less desirable. Watch out exiting and entering the highway 36, as this exit design is quit different from any other exit you ever seen in Colorado. The access to marketplace is directly to the south of exit makes it a bit challenge during high volume time. So take your time or visit there in less popular time. Specially for the first couple of times. As the traffic pattern is a bit challenge and a bit different from other mall areas. It has Costco anchored the North end of the area and park on the south end, IHOP and whole food to...
