Update: it is 7:45. She started on my husbands at 7:45 and claimed her computer went down and made a phone call to another customer saying she was working on their order for over an hour and she still cant get the format to work. She handed me mine at about 7:35 and alot of them are not cut properly at all. She made sure to give my husband about 2000 of his because they were messed up but mine she did not quality control what so ever. I left that stack on the counter and left. Waste of time and money. First impressions (business cards) to people could make or break a business. Poor quality doesn't look good on a new business.
I would like to preface this by saying I worked for staples for a few years in Colorado, mainly in the copy and print center and also some on the floor and as a cashier. We are also here for a very short amount of time and rented a car for 1 day to get all of our errands done. I have never received such service at staples and I am honestly appalled. My husband and I both had same day copy orders placed at 1pm 09/20. I know that even on a busy day, it does not take 6 hours print and cut 2 small orders of business cards. Especially in a small town like Park City, UT. We came up to the store in Park City, UT from Riverton, UT and arrived at 5:45pm for an order that was placed at 1 pm. We both wandered around for about 5 min just to kill some extra time and made our way to the counter. She told me my order wasn't there as she was very brief and to the point. She couldn't even find my husband's. When I politely asked her at least how much longer she just said very rudely, it will be ready at 730. Yes, I understand that but I also asked very politely again is there any way I could get it sooner.- I do know there is a way and I do know there is a rush fee. I also know that there are MICH better ways about having that conversation. I was 10000% willing to pay that but she never gave me an option to pay a rush fee just said 730 and stopped talking to me all together. My husband then tried again to give her his confirmation number and she resorted to having to reach out to her manager to assist her. She never told us that she found it or even acknowledged us any further. Answered the phone and continued to ignore us. At this point we just stood there and stared at her until she curtly stated "oh we have his order" and then went back to ignoring us. Now we have to lay additional to extend our car rental to have it back at the salt lake Airport on time and we have to waste time waiting for an order to be completed. There was no customer service there and a complete lack of the staples core values. Retail is hard enough as it is but when someone has worked retail at YOUR company......
Read moreWhat a crazy bad 24 hour experience I’ve just had with store manager Chris and the print department employees. One employee gave me poor information which I relied on when I placed my order; the next day another employee said she would email me a new quote—which she didn’t do. Chris tells me there are three print department employees and two of them were involved in messing up my order. Those are bad odds. My co-worker (without knowing this mess in the background) stopped by to pick up the prints, which had been printed without my approval, and she was shocked by the price—which the print department employee falsely told her I’d approved. (Of course I hadn’t approved it because I hadn’t received the email I’d been promised.) I tried to find a better solution for how to print my things (lower quality paper, smaller size, etc.) and Chris literally told me it was my own fault for my first order, like I wasn’t relying on the information his employee had given me, and he accused me of lying about my order when I placed it online. Shocking and insulting treatment. Needless to say, I didn’t pay for the prints and Staples is eating the cost of making them. There are other options for printing and I strongly suggest...
Read moreThis is not for this particular store. This review is for the online store which blatantly employs bait and switch scheme. I wanted to buy an item in my pick list with my pick price as a Staples Plus member. Everything went fine as I completed the transaction with my pick price so I only was charged with about $400 with tax. Suddenly, the email confirmation said that my card was charged more than $1,500 so that means they were charging me with the regular price and not the pick price. I had to hurry and cancel it. That was last Friday. Tried it again today. Monday, and same thing happened. The CS agent can't explain why they are baiting and switching prices. Staples has gone way low. It's not the Staples anymore that I used to love and know before it became privatized. Now I may have to gather evidence if they keep on baiting and switching me so I can report it to...
