Hit or miss. Hispanic hot meals in an overcrowded Hispanic supermarket with Dominican flavor.
My biggest complaint, communication, very challenging. It seems, no one can speak English. My second complaint, prices seem to be in accordance of server. And third, food at the end of the day is not hot and they can’t heat it up.
However, they do have a great Pico de Gallo salad, and sometimes they make a ‘Cayo’ stew that’s very, very tasty.
I also had a little piece of lasagna, but it was not very good. Not only it was small but they used American cheese on top and it was coagulated. Definitely, not worth $8.
This place caters to the local Hispanic community but their prices are on the high side of the spectrum. Their food options are basic and in my opinion, Pollo Tropical offers a much better product. —- Wanted to update this review from the top, but Google is not allowing and can’t do a second review.
I just returned for the second time in the last 10 days. The empanadas I had a few days ago, were not good, but the soup I had today, surely was.
I went there late afternoon and it’s always a heartache. If they could just clean up this place, it would be so inviting. Thank God for self-opening doors.
A couple of weeks ago, I stopped at their competition on the Cagen Center, and now I can honestly say, this place has better tasting food. But the competition excels in cleanliness for sure. (03/10/22) —— This is definitely NOT a place to get a Cuban sandwich. Only ate half, rest threw out. Soaked in mayo & mustard with dried out pork from the leftovers and some cheese they didn’t heat through. Terrible...
Read moreStopped by here over the weekend (Saturday) with the intent of purchasing fresh produce, etc. The place is disgusting. One pineapple for $6 when you can purchase the same thing at Aldi (within walking distance of this place) for $2. The produce was very limited, and in various stages of decay. I am not sure what people see in this place, but we'll not be returning.
The prepared food line was fairly long, so perhaps that is the draw for this shop. However, given the condition of the store, I'd not eat anything prepared there.
If you are looking for a clean shop with good items try Rokka's Market, (Windemere) or Armazem X (just along the highway, not far at all from this place). Both have prepared food, are clean and have a wide selection of products. Bravo/Key Foods (various locations) is a much better option, also. It's a full grocery store with a great prepared food section that provides multiple options of hot food, breads, etc.

Read moreWent to take a friend to buy some stuff. From the moment you walk the store, is so dirty. Trash outside, dirty door glass the entire parking lot is dirty and looks nasty. You enter and the music is so loud. The bathroom is filthy, you can tell they don’t clean it. Prices are high. Cashiers are not friendly rather rude. They don’t speak English. They don’t greet the customers. You ask a question and they don’t help you at all. I can’t imagine the condition of the kitchen where they cook. Please don’t eat there. The food they had on display looked burn and old. I saw flies around. Disgusting.
Behind their counters look very dirty. Please clean the store in and out and teach your employees to have better customer service. The store smell bad. I give them 0- don’t give them business. Seems all employees are mute and had no teeth. The don’t...
