This was our first visit to this newer location and we have not been to one of their restaurants in a very long time. Since there are now 2 locations fairly close to us I wanted to try them again as a couple of the places we do go have been slipping in service and or quality and are a greater distance. For a quick service place they perform fairly well. To be fair I mention that they are still fairly new with clearly ongoing training going on and they are extremely busy. We arrived in the middle of the afternoon and there was a line that only got longer once we were there and never slowed while we ate inside.
My first impression was that I hated the parking lot which may not be their fault but it was hard to get into and is one way around. They do have dedicated spaces for people that order in the app. Once inside the line was moving a bit slow but they had several employees who all looked busy. When it was our turn they switched the person taking orders to someone faster and clearly more experienced. My companion got a burrito, which is their usual from this type of establishment. They got chicken with black beans, brown rice and the works except salsa. They loved it. I went a new way for me as I have never been truly happy with their burritos. So I got a bowl which was way more food it seemed than an ordinary burrito, plus less carbs for me. I got the brown rice, black beans and I decided to try the barbacoa, with hot salsa, pico, cheese and lettuce. We also used the mild Tabasco for a bit more flavor. I was apprehensive at first but I really enjoyed all the flavors. So they will get my repeat business.
On the down side was the parking lot, and we had trouble finding a semi clean place to sit and eat once we had our food. To their credit while we were sitting and eating and the line was to the door they had someone out sweeping and cleaning tables. My only other trouble was that the cashier was talking to another employee and had to be told 3 times what our order was. On the board they show a regular or large drink but the cashier and the receipt said we got a small each. A bit confusing. Also there are no clearly marked prices anywhere that I noticed. I felt that our food was a bit expensive compared to similar places that also give you chips with your meal while here you pay extra if you want them, Since the food was really good I will not begrudge them the higher price, especially when my choices are limited.
This was a big improvement over past experiences and I hope as things get better they will get another star from me. The food was worth 5 but not the rest. Also they...
Read moreThis Chipotle needs to get it together. The food coming out of this store is consistently bad and/or prepared incorrectly. Wait times are long, even for Chipotle. The drive through line will wrap around the store into the road, and instead of sending cars to wait in a parking spot or circle around when their food isn’t ready, they’ll let people sit there at the window holding up the whole line. I ordered online the other day around 1:30 and ended up sitting in the drive through for over half an hour with only two cars in front of me that each spent over 10 minutes just sitting at the window. Meanwhile the app said my order was ready and when I got it, it was cold and congealed, in addition to being made wrong. This store seems to suffer from ingredient shortages on a regular basis. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve gone in and waited to order, only to find out they’re missing half the ingredients. I went to get a burrito bowl and redeem a free queso promotion, and found out while waiting that they were out of chips. I overheard another customer deciding against their side of guac they were getting to go with chips, since there were no chips, and the girl working told him “there’s a target across the street, you can get chips there”. Another visit, I reached the register just in time for them to decide it was a good time for a cash drawer change. It was the slowest process during which orders were piling up waiting to be paid for. My food, and I’m sure the others behind me, was stone cold by the time I got checked out and got to dig in. During this process they also placed the cash drawer being changed onto a food prep surface that was actively being used to prepare food. During my long waits inside I can’t help but notice the terrible food safety practices. Employees and even managers being oblivious to hand washing and glove changes. Touching hair and face, skipping a hand wash, putting on gloves and dishing out food. Handling money with gloves on and going back to food prep, I could go on and on. I love getting Chipotle, but this store is always so bad. It’s a shame because every time I finally get my husband to agree to give this location another chance, they blow it and fail to meet what have become very low expectations. At this point, if the food we get isn’t stone cold or unbearably salty, I consider it a small victory. Please, someone come fix this store. If the area wasn’t so starved for food options, I don’t believe this store would be busy...
Read moreIf you ever want to see the Three Stooges in real life come to this chipotle location.
I’ve been to countless chipotle restaurants and I have yet to see a more negligent and aloof group of grown employees.
I went today for lunch and when the burrito maker attempted to give me a crusty corner of Carne Asada, I spoke up and explained to him that I would rather wait for something fresh. He shrugged his shoulders and decided to take the next person leaving my burrito on the line. At no point did he say how long it would take or tell the line that there was an order waiting. I proceeded to stand there for about 15 minutes without any type of communication or help while my boyfriend paid with a gift card.
About another 10 minutes went by before I decided to just ask for a refund, which surprise surprise no one knew how to process.
I figured that I had already waited enough and told them I would just take the burrito so I could leave. After waiting an entire 30 minutes they then proceeded to help a customer that had just walked in.
The only saving grace in this entire situation was a lovely And kind employee named Jenny. She was the ONLY one to display any kind of customer service. She was the only one to greet me when I walked in the restaurant , She was quick to offer me free chips While I waited for the Carne to be made, and She was the only one attempting to de-escalate the situation. I really do feel bad that someone with such a great sense of customer service Has to be surrounded by such idiots. it really did feel like she was running the entire location single-handedly.
Moving forward I hope that this group of people can understand that the job field is incredibly large and if they don’t want to be doing some thing like working with the public they don’t have to. But at the end of the day poor customer service and sh*t attitudes are just not...
