I went into this festive store yesterday looking for few items. As soon as I walked into the door there were bunch of Staff walking behind some guy who was telling them about what changes he wanted to be done & practically what he liked & he didnât like in the store. It doesnât need a genius to figure out that he was the BOSS! I had eye contact with the BOSS & HE DID NOT EVEN ACKNOWLEDGED ME OR HIS STAFF!!!!!! I went shopping for 21 items on my list. The store is overstocked for holidays & you canât shop around in an easy way. Stuff falling off shelves & you barely can maneuver your cart around! I found a set of holiday dishes but there were missing 2 dishes; I asked an employee if she knows if they have another dishes set; her response was swift & rude: â No, I donât know ââŚâyou have to lookâ! What do you mean you donât know? Can you please look it up?âŚâNo, I canât look it up & I donât know if we have another setâ. She was persistent & rude!!! HOW CAN A STORE NOT KNOW WHAT THEY HAVE ON HAND & WHAT THEY DONâT HAVE!!! Her response wasâŚâI really donât expect you to understand but thatâs our system ââŚ!!! Ok; can you find out if another store has another complete set of dishesâ. She even declined to do that & went on her way without any explanation! Then I found 6 coffee cups in liked;there was only one simple issue;one cup priced @ $5.99; 2 cups priced @ $6.99 & 3 cups priced @ $7.99! They are all same identical cups; same size, same manufacturer & same design but there were 3 different prices for the same cups!!! I met another employee & I confronted her with the pricing issue. I asked her how to adjust the prices thinking that there was some kind of error; however; the employee declined to do anything about it simply because thatâs the store policy!!! The STORE POLICY IS TO SELL THE SAME EXACT PRODUCT AT 3 DIFFERENT PRICES ON THE SHELVES!!!!!!!!!!! This is something NEW; I havenât heard anything about selling the same product with 3 different prices on the shelves!!! I really thought it was an error but⌠I was told thatâs the store policy again!! I had everything I wanted in my cart; itâs full & Iâm heading to the checkout area; then I remembered one more item; instead of looking for it all over the store; I decided to ask another employee who was stocking some merchandise. I asked her where could I find holiday glasses; amazingly & again; she replied: â I donât know, but I will send you someone who knows!!! I waited for close to 10 mins; then I saw the same employee who was supposed to get me some help exiting the store as if she was heading home!!!!!!!!!!!! I donât know about you; but this visit to this store proved to me that this COMPANY HOMEGOODS HAS SOME SERIOUS ISSUES WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! No matter how festive HOMEGOODS stores are!!! No matter how cheap their prices are !! And no matter how great of a collection they have!!! The MOST IMPORTANT THING FOR ME EVER TIME I PATRONIZE ANY STORE IS CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I am in any store maximum around 20-30 mins. I donât need to be dealing with a rude employee and I donât want to be confronted by a sarcastic staff. I just want to be respected as long as Iâm being respectful. This company HOMEGOODS sells nothing necessary!!! Most of their products are impulsive items and there are several stores in Fredericksburgâs area MUCH CHEAPER THAN HOMEGOODS !!! Youâll think that their executives will entice their store staff to make extra effort with customer service for this holiday season!!! However; itâs obvious you canât expect the store staff to implement a bit of decent customer service when the BOSS walk around in the store ignoring all customers & demanding from store staff to follow him around in the store for him to express out loud his dissatisfaction with their efforts in a very sarcastic manner. The BOOS must set an example to the staff & it wasnât happening at this store. Frankly; I HAD ENOUGH. I left my cart in front of the checkout counter & left. I DO NOT RECOMMEND HOMEGOODS STORE AT ALL. If you donât believe me; go in & see for yourself. You have...
Read moreBy far one of the most disappointing Home Goods experiences. When I go to any Home Goods in any state it usually a great chance to find some sort of treasure. This store did have great treasures. But the staff were not helpful at all. I found these really cool led hanging lighted LED shelves. I tried to find someone to see if there were anymore that weren't black. Ugh, no one could be found. Then when i did find someone she (later found out she was the Manager). I wasn't sure she even worked there and definitely had no idea she was the Manager. She said no more shelves and walked away. I was so unnerved I accidentally ran into a metal shelf. She just rolled her eyes at me and walked away. I asked the store associate what the ladies name was and if she was the Manager. The young lady whispered and I couldn't hear what she was saying. I asked her 3 times. Chelsy or Kelsie could have been what she was saying. She left the register and made a missed off announcement to the store that they would be closing in 20 min. She came back up at the register and made a point of continuously glancing at me. Either she had a really bad day, hates Home Goods, or just doesn't like people who wear buddist sweatshirts. Not sure. But Fredericksburg, very disappointed đ!!!! So disappointed that I wanted to share this review before I left. I was able to catch her message to the store 20...

I had no issues with HomeGoodsâuntil after I spent over $2,000 and confirmed with a manager named Nicole that my mom would be coming to pick up my item. Nicole had no problem with this until she saw that my mom was dark-skinned.
From that moment on, her entire attitude shiftedârude, dismissive, and completely unwilling to help. She literally sat and watched as we struggled to wrap and load a large couch on our own. No assistance offered, just cold stares and an attitude that felt extremely targeted.
To make matters worse, when I asked to file a complaint, no one knew how. No one could provide a number for HR, corporate, or a district manager. I was told to just âGoogle itââafter spending thousands of dollars and being treated horribly. Thatâs how little regard they had for accountability.
Thank you to the man with long hair, Kaylee, and the brown-haired associate I didnât catch the name ofâthey were the only bright spots in an otherwise infuriating experience.
But Nicole? She should not be in any customer-facing role. HomeGoods, do better. I didnât walk in asking for special treatmentâI asked for the basic respect every customer deserves . Until then, i will furnish my...
