I had an extremely disappointing experience at Five Below. From the moment I walked in, I was immediately shouted at by an employee informing me the store was closing in 10 minutes. I calmly stated that I would not rush and would take my time since the store was still open, but instead of respecting my response, the employee involved her manager. Unfortunately, the situation only worsened, as the manager spent the remainder of my time in the store gossiping about me and even called security — all because I wanted to shop at my own pace within store hours.
The atmosphere among the employees was unprofessional and unpleasant. They appeared disgruntled, uninterested in assisting customers, and focused solely on closing the store as quickly as possible. It was clear they prioritized convenience over customer service.
This experience left a terrible impression, and I sincerely hope Five Below takes steps to train their staff to provide a more welcoming and respectful shopping...
Read moreWe were told by a employee we couldn’t do a return because completing and exchange would be cheaper. I still have no idea what that means. We had the receipt, brand new items, still in box tags. So we walked around and found a manager who then completed the turn also confused why we would told it was an exchange is cheaper. Exchanges typically are for the same prices or for an item that cost more. They can be to get something cheaper too, it’s just that I wanted my money back. Then on the way out the same employee let us know that they appreciated the lesson they we were told by their boss. Like that fact that your boss had to explain to you what a return and exchange are have nothing to do with us and everything to do with training at...
Read moreThe person at the front/working registers was really rude. She was not wearing a nametag but had long blue hair and piercings. When we asked about the price of something she was short and spoke to me as if I was an idiot. I work retail, so i understand sometimes customers put things back in the wrong spot. I wasnt arguing, or protesting, I simply agreed when I was told the correct price and bought them anyways, but they picked up a weird attitude for no reason. Working in retail, I know customer service is really important. I hope she doesnt continue to treat customers like this because eventually, she will get the karen that asks for her manager...
