"MOST UNPROFESSIONAL OWNER" ...My wife and I Arrived to look at a log table at BRECK BEARS. After a few minutes a woman aggressively approached us to inform us that the furniture we were going towards to look at was in a restricted area ( there were no barriers or signs to warn us). We asked the woman could we look at the table in the area. The woman was very rude and hateful in her mannerism and continued to scold us. We told the woman that she was over reacting ( especially since we were never even close enough to touch the furniture). My wife looked at me and said I think we should leave now, and the woman's rude response was "HURRY!". We felt that since we arrived 15-20 minutes before closing, that she was trying to "run us off". My wife told the woman that for many years we had done business with the nice tall male employee. The woman's cocky sarcastic response to my wife was "WELL HONEY I KNOW BECAUSE I AM THE OWNER AND I SLEEP WITH HIM". We were very surprised that an OWNER would act this way, although she appeared to be very high strung. We can only surmise the reasoning behind it all ( if you get my drift). I have never written a bad review on any business until today but it is well deserved! She is truly the most unprofessional business Owner that we...
Read moreI visited the town of Breckenridge during vacation, while I was driving into town I saw a store which had multiple wood animal carvings along with some creative outdoor furniture. It looked like a place that would be fun to shop in, so I pulled into one of their conveniently located parking spots. As soon as I exited my vehicle, I was greeted by a gal with a friendly smile, and demeanor, I think her name was Ashley or Alison, I can't recall exactly (apologies nice lady!). I told her I was on a budget, because I planned on spending money on booze. She laughed at my joke which was actually not a joke at all, but rather a proclamation of honesty. With her new found knowledge of my "thriftiness", the nice lady directed me towards not one, not two, but three different sales sections, there was a 25%. 50%, and 75% off section! I was able to leave with a keepsake I'll remember forever. Thank you...
Read moreIn today's age, its not often that you are able to find a small, progressive business which emulates the model of being customer oriented, employee driven, and community based. That is why when I was first introduced to Breckenridge Bears, I was astounded by the amount of business Breckenridge Bears procures for others based around them. Not only do they source their building materials from Colorado based providers, but they also take exemplary steps to assure that every one of their artists are locally based. As a customer of Breckenridge Bears, I always had a feeling I wasn't just buying a cute, artisan, craft carving, or another piece of one of a kind barn wood furniture. Instead, I felt I was buying into, as well as supporting the community which they work in, and source their products from. Just by purchasing a simple carving, I gained a feeling of giving back to a community I have come to...
