I've never felt more lonely going to church than when I come here. This church is big and difficult to find your place and to make friends. No one talks to you or tries to be friends with you, even if you mingle and smile and greet people. However, if the people talk to you they are nice and worship is good. There are lots and lots of seniors in this church. But every time I leave the service here, I feel so lonely.

Loved Pastor Murphy’s message on serving this morning! Also, the children’s choir is such a gift to hear. Thank you, Sandi Alstaetter and the accompanists (such beautiful music every time I am here!) and all the people on Sandi’s team who help with the children’s choir. What a blessing you are.

I recently reached out to this church regarding the treatment of people seeking help. I was told we could not reach an agreement that Jesus is love. I was told that there was an increased threat in this country and that a man's skin color and behavior was why he was turned away from Jesus' love.

This church is not following the teachings of Jesus and needs a come to God moment.

Here is what Jesus actually says. I hope they reach back out to me, or I will be preparing to make sure they no longer qualify as a church for tax purposes.

Jesus Christ is love, forgiveness, and understanding. He does not turn anyone away and we must be like Christ in order to become one with the spirit of Christ!

You shall not oppress your neighbor...but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the Lord

— (Lev 19:13, 18).

He [the Lord your God] executes justice for the fatherless and the widow, and loves the sojourner, giving him food and clothing. Love the sojourner therefore; for you were sojourners in the land of Egypt

— (Deut. 10:18–19).

When you reap in your harvest in the field, and have forgotten a sheaf in the field, you shall not go back to get it...When you beat your olive trees, you shall not go over the boughs again...When you gather the grapes of your vineyard, you shall not glean it afterward; it shall be for the sojourner, the fatherless and the widow. You shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt; therefore I command you to do this

— (Deut. 24:19–22).

Give justice to the weak and the fatherless; maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute. Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked

— (Ps. 82 (81): 3, 4).

Even though you make many prayers, I will not listen; your hands are full of blood...cease to do evil, learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; defend the fatherless, plead for the widow

— (Isa. 1:15–17).

It is God's gift to humankind that everyone should eat and drink and take pleasure in all their toil

— (Ecc. 3: 13).

"Whoever oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors God."

-(Proverbs 14:31)

"Be shepherds of God's flock that is under your care, watching over them - not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve; not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock"

-(1 Peter 5:2-3)

You shall love your neighbor as yourself" "And who is my neighbor?" "Anyone in need, even people we might be expected to shun."

Luke 10:25-37 I will live the actual gospel of Christ!

If you need help or have ill/infirmed/unwanted/unloved I will be as Christ and help in any way I can. Reach out to me for Jesus' true blessings, and I don't charge or profit off coffee and perversions of the Demiurge! Be blessed by...

Could you hack getting USDA Prime Filet Mignon steaks dished out regularly? That’s what this place is like, but in a spiritual Way! Master communicator, Chuck Swindoll, delivers the best kind of groceries to the hungry and to the thirsty with excellence. He does this to bless, to nourish, to strengthen and to encourage his hearers, but he also does this with others in mind! Chuck does this primarily to glorify God!

Are you ready for all the counsels of God? The Bible says, “Preach the Word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine” (2 Tim. 4:2). That’s what happens here! Stonebriar is about putting the Jesus of the Bible first—preeminent in all things. This is a church with an unwavering commitment to Essential Christian Doctrine and the practical clear communication and application of God’s Word! Stonebriar Community Church (stonebriar[dot]org) is about worshiping Jesus Christ in Spirit and in truth as an ongoing seven-day-a-week lifestyle of practical righteousness ..and prioritizing this before serving him horizontally in helping people, though that is also very important to take part in. It’s about untiring expositional verse by verse Bible teaching with a deep devotion to seeing lives transformed by God’s grace as the people wisely apply what they are hearing.

This is a grace-church that doesn’t abuse Gods’ free grace. Of course “abuse” is an over used term today—America has way too many victims pointing the finger of blame and accusation. But many wayward, wandering and spiritually abused individuals have found their way to Stonebriar for full restoration in Christ. Jesus alone is the Answer here! Hey, this is not some “celebrity driven personality cult” of sorts. This is one of the soundest local Christian churches in the Dallas Metroplex area and in the nation! It is totally worth a long drive (or a short one) to get there and we all know that Texans can handle the commute. We’ve seen them come in from Waco or Tyler weekly.

The pickup truck driving pastor, author, Insight for Living (insight[dot]org) radio teacher, Dr. Chuck Swindoll, has been a good example for thousands young and old ..far beyond his Texas boarders and he has devoted more than four decades to winning people and then equipping them for humble Christian service worldwide. Sure he pushes the envelope with his infectious joy, jokes and laughter in a non-religious way (especially when asked about his sis, Luci Swindoll, who also gladly returns the favor tastefully), but he is consistently appropriate in every situation and gives the glory to God. Chuck is a non-greedy caring man of the Word that enthusiastically follows and proclaims Jesus Christ instead of himself. Please do not visit or pass through Texas without stopping by Stonebriar Community Church in Frisco some 30 minutes north of downtown Dallas!

God will change you, meet your needs and you will...

This is a difficult review to write, and frankly I'd never seen myself as a church "reviewer" but I don't know how else to get this out there. We initially visited Stonebriar before Covid and loved it. We saw our family making it our home church due to the fact that we're new to the area. Unfortunately, our church hunting hit pause when Covid hit because of all the shut downs, etc. We recently started visiting Stonebriar again, thinking that we'd feel the same way about it as we did before. Heartbreakingly, we don't. I understand that with Covid things are different but the church we went to over a year ago versus now feel completely different. I think the biggest difficulty is the mask situation, which is odd due to the fact that churches are exempt from the mandate (per the Governors order) and yet everyone wears them here. I understand that some feel more comfortable, but it's literally everyone. When you're a visitor, it's very difficult walking into a new church, let alone not seeing any warm smiles or welcoming faces, or not being able to recognize people to where we could make friends. Also, they take social distancing very seriously and unfortunately, we have yet to have a single conversation with someone about us, or the church or anything relational or welcoming. Every conversation has been because we've tried to talk to someone volunteering, but it always feels very rushed. It's SO hard for me to say this, but as an outsider who's just looking for a church home/church family, Stonebriar feels very cold in comparison to other churches we've visited. I completely understand the need for intelligence during this time, but it feels as if an energetic, loving, welcoming atmosphere has been sacrificed in the name of safety. We're believers, so we'll still focus on finding a home church that fits our needs, but I couldn't imagine if I didn't know the Lord and tried to attend here. I sincerely wish Stonebriar the best, since we love Chuck Swindoll and were very excited about learning from him each week, but my husband and I both agreed that we feel as if it would take months (at least) for us to develop even basic relationships/fellowship here, and now, more than ever, it's...
