A good place to pick up smaller stuff like insignia, buttons, camp equipment, etc., but not the best place for larger purchases like uniforms. The uniform pieces supplied here are comparatively a bit more affordable, but ultimately sacrifice historical accuracy for that slight affordability. Many pieces of clothing are not made of the correct weight, cut, and color of cloth, and can thus result in unnecessarily hot clothing, fading to inaccurate colors, and a general inaccurate appearance when compared to original images. Other pieces of equipment, like bayonets for instance, are factory-made in India from inferior materials and thus have been known to bend or break in the field after extended use. In the company's defense, they have been making fair strides to improve their wares. By making partnerships with smaller, authentic clothiers, they have been able to turn out some reasonably good coats and hats (albeit at somewhat higher prices than other suppliers). I had items on consignment . I had called numerous times but did mot get any response . except some items sold but I never got a check Today I went into the store to get a check and my items . The owner was most negstive and made excuses that she was short of help ..... She also owns the Emporium . I had a great relationship there with the manager and i received monthly checks also for sold items. I was told to come back in awhile to the Reg Quartermaster . I went to the Emporium and was sadly informed that the owner requested all items there unsold to immediately be returned to me ! These items would have sold and were marked for sale I went back and told the owner that my issue was definitely NOT with the Emporium !!!! She refused to address except to let me know she signed all checks . I told her ok but the real reason is that the emporium has a most professional manager who accounted for everything .
