Lomas Center Museum — Attraction in Gettysburg

Very impressive collection! Our guide, Joe, was a wealth of knowledge! He is very personable and knowing we are reenactors who already know about historical weapons he really took the time to get into the “nitty gritty” about how weapons technologies changed and advanced over time. Don't let the back alley location of this hidden gem keep you from visiting. An Absolute delight visiting this museum. Great conversation with Susan upon arriving and followed by Richard presenting an amazingly detailed tour that that walked you thru George Lomas amazing collection of small arms, CW artillery pieces/shells, artwork by George Woodridge, and the original Gun Number 1. This is a great must see museum in Gettysburg. The Gentleman working there is very knowledgeable and there are so many weapons to see. And the cannons on display are really cool historical pieces that are a definite must see because if you have questions about how a cannon works and all the tools and parts to them are here as well.
