This is a great must see museum in Gettysburg. The Gentleman working there is very knowledgeable and there are so many weapons to see. And the cannons on display are really cool historical pieces that are a definite must see because if you have questions about how a cannon works and all the tools and parts to them are here as well. The place is so awesome. Go see it when in town. The sign is down by the Farnsworth House the museum is up the alley!

Exceptional! I’ve taught US history for 20 years and visited museums all over the world but have never encountered more knowledgeable, solicitous, friendly guides that gave incredible detail on artillery, small arms and cavalry. The southern gentleman is a long-time re-enactor and filled in details I’ve always been curious about. Such a little gem! Walk the 200 ft off the main street, it’s well worth it!

I went to the Lomas center yesterday and got to meet Joe. He was very knowledgeable and very helpful and explained, in great detail everything about the pieces on display. I felt like I gained some great insight into the history of everything on display there and I highly recommend that you see this museum if you’re interested in history and you should find yourself in Gettysburg

Very impressive collection! Our guide, Joe, was a wealth of knowledge! He is very personable and knowing we are reenactors who already know about historical weapons he really took the time to get into the “nitty gritty” about how weapons technologies changed and advanced over time. He also fielded our questions with great interest and enthusiasm. Even though he probably spent more time with us than the average visitor it was so enjoyable to have him to learn from. If you are going to the Lomas Center make sure to...

Don't let the back alley location of this hidden gem keep you from visiting. An Absolute delight visiting this museum. Great conversation with Susan upon arriving and followed by Richard presenting an amazingly detailed tour that that walked you thru George Lomas amazing collection of small arms, CW artillery pieces/shells, artwork by George Woodridge, and the original Gun Number 1. Special thanks to the Regimental QuarterMaster staff for suggesting this! Looking forward to coming back to see their WW2...
